Carramar Stud

Carramar Paint Horse Stud was established in the early 1980s at Brisbane in Qld, Australia.  Patrick and Susan Maxwell have specialised in breeding pretty performance horses, especially Paints and Palominos.  Many of the horses they have bred have gone on to become champions in both performance and halter.  They currently stand the pretty palomino overo paint stallion "Western Dekota".  This stallion was purchased as a weanling on the basis of his proven performance pedigree and his outstanding good looks.  His lovely gold colouring has certainly made him stand out in the showring where he has been sashed Champion at halter many times in both the Paint and Pinto Rings.  Dekota is a consistent producer of dilute horses, both coloured and solid.

          Carramar Stud supports youth

Patrick and Susan Maxwell from Carramar Paints have proudly supported the development of youth through equestrian activities for many years.  Patrick is the founding President of the Qld State Paint Horse Association which conducts a free annual 'All Breeds Youth Camp', usually held in January at the Caboolture Showgrounds in Qld.  In 2007, the QSPHA will be proudly holding their 13th Annual Camp, in conjunction with the Annual QSPHA Youth Show.  Due to the continued success of these Camps, QSPHA now also conduct an annual Adult & Amateur Camp, usually held around September.  Carramar Paints are proud and loyal sponsors of these activities.
