About David

Hello, my name is David Anderson. I'm a keen photographer of cars of all sorts including Supercars, Luxury and also sportscars etc.. I started photography a few years ago when i got my first camera - Rico Caplio RR120 which had 2.2 mp and a 3X optical zoom. I thought it was great and started off taking photo's of the garden and such and then i moved to cars. Seen as i liked cars as in collecting small matchbox size ones. I took my camera with me when we went out on a day out or into the town and started photographing cars such as porsche and lotus. I always took my camera when i went out because if i didn't i would fear i would miss something special and i the cool thing was i never knew what i was going to see. For my birthday in September 2004, i recieved a Canon Powershot S1. I already had an experience with camera's so this was a big "step up" from the old one. I loved the way the screen opened and you could take awkward shots of cars from lets say the ground facing up at the car. 3.2mp was also good and increased the quality of the photo's but the best thing i liked about the new camera was that it had 10x optical zoom which i really needed for those long distance shots. In 2006 i moved onto standing somewhere to see cars such as a local roundabout or later - the motorway -. It was great to see cars like that and in the summer was my biggest catch - Pagani Zonda S -. I nearly fainted at seeing such an exotic supercar on the roads just appear out of what seemed no where. At the motorway the zoom ultimately came in handy to get cars from that far away when i was standing on the bridge overlooking teh passing cars. I went to London and also Norfolk in the summer and saw lots of nice cars and caught some cars i thought i would never get a good photo of like the Mercedes SLR Mclaren or a Rolls Royce Phantom. I am now quite a good photographer as cars are concerned and have taken some really nice shots. One of them was in London when i saw a black Mercedes Mclaren SLR and i rushed over to it and stood on a railing and got a great photograph, one of my best. The other thing i like about the S1 IS is that it has an IS mode (Image Stabiliser) which means you can take a pic of a moving car or move or something and the photo will mostly be not blurry. In christmas 2006 i will be taking delivery of a Canon Powershot S3 IS which will be my best camera because it has 6mp and an even bigger zoom this time - 12x optical zoom - which will be even better for long distance shots. My photograph's should be clearer and sharper also so look forward to the photograph's i take with it.

About Adam

Hi, I'm Adam. What my main part of the CarSpottings adventure is to keep the website up and running, maintain and edit webpages on the website and the forums. I have a big interest in cars, which started when i was around 5, with helping my dad in the garage, handing him tools to service his motorbike. This quickly moved onto cars in the later years, around when i was 8. More recently, i have been helping my cousins boyfriend in his garage, repairing bike engines, and restoring a classic "Essex" 3.0ltr Ford Capri. My attention is now focused on computing, with making websites, troubleshooting and mostly building computers.

Thats all from me, Adam
