CHRISTMAS SHOWS TO REMEMBER!

Remember EACH show comes with a soundtrack CD..ready to rehearse....ready to perform!

Many of Nick's shows are written to be performed just before the Christmas school holidays, so many of the shows have a Christmas theme, many finish with emotional highs that send the audience and cast alike out of theatre excited and happy about the holidays!

All of these shows were performed just before Christmas!

1. Adventures in Pantoland!    NEW SHOW!!!

Do you believe in magic? Come to Pantomime!
The greatest place you will ever find.
And it's magic, when the music is groovy
It’s so much fun. Like an old-time movie.
You’ll see the magic, and then you’ll be
The biggest panto fan like me!

After many successful pantomimes at Networks Theatre, Nick combined lots of the best and funny elements into a great show for kids to perform.   This is the idea. Edward hates panto! His two friends Maggie and Charlotte call the panto police and they take Edward off to Pantoland. They have to deliver three classic props back to three classic shows.

From Snow White..the Poisoned Apple....

From Aladdin... the magic lamp....

and from Cinderella...the Fairy Godmother's Wand...

And off they go....this is a brilliant introduction to pantomime..with classic panto routines...The Presents Song....The 12 Days of Christmas......Cinderella's Shoe Fitting....great!

3. Make A Wish!

"Wishing! Time to do a bit of wishing!
Want some cash? Or time for fishing?
What do you want? I want it all!"

Jason, Sally and William have just had a massive stroke of luck! A mysterious woman in the park has just given them a wishing stone!  They have five wishes! The entire cast sings the opening number thinking about what wishes they would make, but the three friends jealously guard their wishes.
Jason would love to talk to the animals.  William would love to swim with the fish in the sea.  All harmless fun until Sally wishes for all the money in the world.  Then the danger starts. Dark characters appear to steal her money.  She becomes very scared and has to end the wish.

"A silver laptop or a golden bike?
Fantastic parties with the things we like!
Want some money? Or a ticket?
For a big trip you can pick it!"

Worried about the danger of the wishes, the friends have to carefully consider what to do with the other wishes.  A spoilt boy enters complaining that he didn’t get the presents he wanted for Christmas.  He storms out angrily. His sister says “All I wanted was a bike.” The friends know that this simple wish would make her so happy. That’s wish number four.  But what about wish five?  As the cast sing “Wishing in a Winter Wonderland” the friends entrust the wish to the audience to do some good one day in the future.
A feel good musical show for Christmas, with a nice wholesome message, where good triumphs over bad and being sensible with your wishes is always a wise thing to do!

4. Scrooge

"The past has gone, the presents here, the future's coming...so soon I fear."

Based on “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens.  It’s Christmas Eve and Ebenezer Scrooge is counting his money…again!  A Scrooge computer is in every house, school and factory in the world.  That’s why there isn’t a richer man on the planet! Tonight the old meanie was planning to go home and just have a glass of milk and a plate of chips, AND NOT SPEND ANY MONEY!!!  Except from the moment he gets home Ebenezer’s life will never be the same again after he is visited by four “spook-tacular” ghosts.

"One world that we all live upon..
and each other who we depend on...
And you hiding away with your cold heart...
Is the present perfect?

Scrooge follows the story of the timeless Dicken's classic.  It's a wonderful adaptation which is faithful to the story yet perfect for performance.  From the opening group song "Christmas Time Is Here" through to the thumping finale song "You Can't Take It With You." Scrooge is a guaranteed instant hit with audiences both young and old.  I have had spectacular feedback on this show.

6. Christmas At The Majestic Hotel

This is the touching story of a writer looking for inspiration, an artist who has lost interest in painting and a musician who longs to play like she did in her youth. They are all guests at an expensive hotel in Paris. Into the hotel comes a young street boy and he steals a diamond necklace that belongs to the musician. Walking the streets of Paris the writer finds the little thief and the boy introduces him to the otehr street children.   At Christmas when so many live life to excess what happens to the poor who simply don’t have enough? The writer negociates the return of the necklace and that the left-over food from the hotel will go to the hungry and needy on the streets of Paris.  Super songs complement this charitable message in our age of plenty.  Finishing with an emotional rendition of the Little Drummer Boy it's a great and touching Christmas show.
