Caroline B Designs bespoke lampshades
Welcome
to Caroline B Designs. I specialise in making bespoke lampshades,
enabling you to create a custom made shade the colour, shape
and design you desire. I am based in SW London, so am ideally placed
for serving the London interior design profession, and I welcome enquiries
from both trade and private clients. I make both hard and soft shades (see below) and all my lampshades are made entirely by
hand in my home studio. I offer a personal, reliable and high
quality service with attention to detail.
A hard shade is made by laminating fabric or wallpaper onto pvc card. The most popular shape is a straight sided drum. This gives an easy makeover to your table and floor lamps, and also works well as a ceiling pendant.
Simply send me your fabric, or choose from my selection of plain fabrics in a wide array of colours.
A soft shade is made by hand stitching a fabric onto a frame and attaching a lining. My soft shades are finely crafted using traditional methods handed down through the generations. They can be stretched, pleated or gathered onto the frame depending on the look that you are after.
I offer a large range of silks and linens and a choice of trims and braids to create your unique shade.
