 Weight Loss Tips                                    

Stay happy! 

Being happy keeps us slim! Why? Because when we feel bad we tend to eat junk. It's a perfectly normal reaction. The moral? The happier you are, the less junk you eat.

Don't lose weight to please others

Why not? Because it never works. The only good reason to diet and lose weight is to please yourself.

Don't bother dieting if you don't want to

Why not? Because you'll fail and this will make you eat more junk food. Result? You'll get fatter. Diet because you really want to lose weight.

 

 

 

 






Beginners Program
 
 
Goal:
20 minute Aerobic Program 3 days a week.
20 minute Strength Training 2 days a week.
 
 
Aerobic Program
Days 1, 3 and 5
Walking Program
20 Minutes
Warm Up: 5 minutes
This is walking at your normal pace

Stop and Stretch  

Walk: 10 Minutes
This pace is somewhat rushed, the way you'd walk if you're late to meet someone. You should be a little breathless but able to speak easily.

Cool Down: 5 minutes
This is a return to your normal pace.

Stop and Stretch

Hand-held dumbbells (Advanced Only)
Supportive Sneakers

I'm also on slimfast I replace breakfast and lunch with the slimfast.
 
I'm also trying to drink 6 to 8 glasses of water aday.

This first month of activity doesn't look like alot, but I had to start off slowly.

6/24 - 7/1/03  In these 9 days we have been woking in the yard trying to get things ready for the 4th. Also we've had a lot of rain. Hopefully now I can get back on track with my walking and exercise tapes. I feel like all the sweating I did woking in the yard I was  still burning calories. 

7/2/03  - 7/4/03  Still working in yard. I know it seems like all we do is work in the yard but with all the rain we have had lately we have had to cut alot of grass. Phillip (my son) cut the grass and Phil (my husband) worked the weedeater and I raked. Friday the 4th I helped Phil finish our deck for our pool. I don't think I stopped until that night, I finely sat down and watched the fire works. I had a lot of family and friends over for the 4th and we wanted everything to look nice.
