TRADITIONAL TOWN HOUSE SITUATED IN THE POPULAR AND HISTORIC SAN ROQUE AREA

If you wish to step back in time and enjoy a wonderful break any time of the year, away from all the hustle and bustle of every day life then look no further!!!

Enjoy the magic and charm of a traditional rustic Spanish town house. This very spacious accommodation has been totally and beautifully restored and refurbished retaining many of its original architectural features.

This very special and private property is situated in the idyllic and ever popular San Roque quarter of the old village of Oliva. Set amongst the medieval cobbled streets and lanes of this historic area, the house is a mere stones throw away from San Roque square, with its bars , supermarket and bakers. Due to the ideal location of the house, you will enjoy panoramic views of the sea, mountains and the picturesque roof tops and church towers of this stunning and romantic town.

HOW TO GET THERE

We are well situated for travel from both Alicante and Valencia airports. These airports are serviced by Ryan Air and Easy Jet from most UK airports. Oliva can be reached very easily and directly via either the A7 motorway or the N332.

The roads are well sign posted and well maintained and you are sure to enjoy the beautiful rural country-side en route.

When you arrive you will be met and escorted to the house by our friendly contact to ensure your holiday commences untroubled and relaxed.

There are also regular train services from Valencia to the nearby towns of Gandia or Denia. (Taxi to Oliva from Gandia is approx 8 Euros)

ABOUT THE HOUSE

The house is set on two levels and offers the benefit of many modern facilities to cater quite comfortably for 6/7 people.

The house contains:

3 bedrooms ( 2 doubles and one twin.)

2 separate lounge areas both with own TV’, DVD. There is also a cd player. You will find a mixed selection of DVD’s to suit all ages and tastes. However you can also rent DVD’s quite easily in the town.

Adjoining the two double bedrooms on the 1st floor you will find a very large bathroom with w/c and modern shower facilities. The other w/c and utility/laundry room is next to the twin bedroom on the ground floor.

Between the two double bedrooms there is also a large area suitable for your luggage, golf clubs etc.

This traditional house retains the unique feature of an interior balcony. This provides much light and overlooks the well equipped kitchen and spacious dining area below in the beautifully converted enclosed courtyard.

This dining area is very spacious and also contains a very attractive wrought iron wood burner which can be used if you stay during the winter months. It creates a warm and traditional Spanish mood within the house.

All floor areas are traditionally tiled and a marble staircase leads up to the well appointed and spacious roof terrace which is another very special feature. This area offers the opportunity for you to wine and dine ‘aire libre’ and provides further areas with sun loungers to relax and enjoy the sunshine and views to the sea in this charming area of Spain.

WHAT TO DO?

Within a matter of minutes one can stroll down from the house

past picture post card cobbled streets and quiet shaded trees to the vibrant town centre of Oliva with its famous paseo and Friday market.

Open air restaurants, bars and ample shopping can make you reluctant to continue on to the delights of Oliva’s beautiful unspoilt sandy beaches which are a further short distance from the town centre.

Here you will find a beautiful coast line with beaches that stretch on as far as the eye can see. The sea is safe and clean and ideal for all the family. You can dine at the open air sea front restaurants or buy souvenirs in the local craft shops.

Oliva is a very traditional town and places great importance in celebrating the regions many religious festivals and fiestas. Particularly the Fallas which is celebrated with the burning of the world famous giant hand crafted statues accompanied by enormous firework displays throughout the town at Easter time, which is around March April                                                                                                       

This is a very popular time to stay at the house which also happens to be on the direct route of the famous procession from the church of San Roque during Holy Week. Unique and quite unforgettable.

Oliva is also the setting for the annual bull run which passes through the streets of the town. Another experience not to be missed!

FURTHER AFIELD

. For the more adventurous the house is well situated to explore this beautiful and varied area of Spain. The area enjoys an average 300 days of sunshine a year. You will not be disappointed whether you explore the interiors with its stunning country parks and traditional Spanish villages or visit nearby Benidorm with all its famous attractions and beaches. There is also a massive amusement park where inexpensive ticket deals can be bought for all the family. The area around Oliva is also renowned for good golf courses which are open to all            . 

Valencia itself is also worth a visit for it’s many attractions. Famous for its exuberant night life, fiestas and traditional crafts. On your return relax on the roof terrace and enjoy the castle views which are illuminated at night to give a very special end to the evening.
