We hope you enjoy our website and that our horses give you as much joy as they give our family [Lisa , Chris , Bryce , Jordan & Eli ]. I have been around horses all my life and I came to the conclusion that it's now time to opened my own stud year 2004.
I'm trying to breed Quality NOT Quantity ,so our 'stud' is small. I invite you to grow with us as our destiny unfolds . I found the hardest part for me was my stud prefix when I started , I wanted something centimental to us so I took a little bit out of my husbands name and a bit out of my name [ Chris & Lisa] and came up with "CARISSA PARK". Not bad,eh ???
You know it's true what they say ; Once you are bitten by the miniature BUG ........You're GONE !!! I started off with miniature horses because a lady called Joan gave me 2 mares as a gift [one of which was in foal]. This was all new to me in alot of ways as I was only use to big horses. I knew the foal was close to arriving ,but wasn't too sure as to when and I was home all day this day and decided to go down to coles to get some shopping . On my arrival back home I saw this black thing go running past in the paddock.I thought it was my neighbours rotweiller in my paddock and went down to move it on.To my lovely SURPRISE it wasn't a dog ,but a beautiful long legged foal...it was Taj who you will come to know as 'Mystery Man' .As he grew he became one of the family and sometimes I am sure he forgot he was a horse. He's still like it to this day.
This was when I decided miniatures were for me.So I started training my horse and sent to Joan about Taj's background.When I recieved this information I was taken back with all these names, he had a more extensive family tree than me !! It went back about 5 generations.There were names like Dell Tera's Paycheck,Phillamara, Fabri etc.I showed my sister from "VIP miniature horse stud" and she nearly died.She advised me to get him registered and show him,I knew he was special."That was the start and now I have moved back to Tamworth . So I thought it was time to start showing and get a breeding program under way.So we hope we'll see you at the show's and have some fun!!We look forward to meeting you all..
