How the Louisiana Medical System Failed
Kayla Noel Thompson was born December 3, 1988 and returned home to God at 7:15 a.m., August 27, 2007 at her home in Tickfaw. She was 18. Kayla attended Independence High School and was in her first year as a pre-med student at Southeastern Louisiana University. Her love for life and joy for living surrounded her with countless friends. Her tenacity and kindness were a source of pride and inspiration for her loving family. Her affection for all of creation was apparent in her words, her actions and her causes.
Kayla was an avid lover of animals. She was a supporter and member of “People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.”
After a long and painful illness, the Lord decided to call her to his side and end her suffering. Her absence leaves an incomprehensible void in the hearts of those that knew her. No truer friend, caring sibling or loving child has ever been nor will ever be.
The world is a darker place without the brightness of your Soul to light our way. You will be missed and forever loved by all you touched.
