Calling All Robby's Elves

What is the origin of this charity?

This not-for-profit charity was created in March, 2004.  We are not affiliated with any other charity, religion, or organization.

The "CARE" in CARE Package stands for "Calling All Robby's Elves".  Robert William was our son and the inspiration for this charity.  He and his identical twin brother, Jack River, were born March 22, 2003 at 30 1/2 weeks' gestation.  Because of acute twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, Jack was a normal preemie at less than 3 1/2 pounds, while Robby was quite swollen at more than 6 1/2 pounds.  The excess fluid caused numerous severe health problems, and he died after three days.  After searching our hearts for a year to make some sense of this loss and have something meaningful come out of it, we decided to combine our talents to launch this project in his name.
