Cardiff Style

Angela Palmer has been Chorus Director since September 2005,  assisted by Assistant Director, June Donovan.   She has always enjoyed singing and prior to becoming addicted to Barbershop, she took part in several different musical groups including school choirs, a madrigal group, baroque choir and amateur operatics.  She has been a member of the Chorus since 1979 singing tenor.  During this time she has been Tenor Section Leader, Chairman, Treasurer, PRO and Assistant Chorus Director (not all at the same time!)

Over the years she has sung tenor in the quartet "Gemini II" who achieved 7th place in the Annual Quartet competition, before the quartet retired due to other commitments.  She also sang tenor in the Chorus Octet, "Interlude",  who had many a happy hour performing at singouts with the Chorus and separately.  Currently Angela sings  tenor with Coast to Coast, the LABBS national chorus and also sings Soprano 1 with City Voices, Cardiff.  She is a LABBS Council Rep.

June Donovan is also a long time Barbershopper originally singing with Barrivale Harmony before joining Cardiff Style.  June sings Bass and also sings with Coast to Coast, the LABBS national chorus.  She is also a member of the LABBS Convention Team and is a LABBS Council Rep.  June is Bass Section Leader and was also Musical Director for 5 years before retiring from the position.  She has a wealth of Barbershop experience and is a great support to Angela.

June also sings with City Voices, Cardiff as Alto.
