Cardiff Style

Barbershop Chorus

Cardiff Style was formed in 1978 by a group of women whose husbands were members of a male Barbershop chorus.  As they were beginning to feel like "Barbershop Widows "  instead of "Golf Widows", they decided to get in on the act and form their own chorus.

Over the years the chorus has competed in the Chorus Competition at the Annual LABBS Convention and has won the Phoenix Small Chorus Trophy on two occasions, the Red Rosettes Trophy and reached 9th place.  In 2005 the chorus came top of Division III.

Our members come from a wide area, mainly in Cardiff, Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan. We come from all walks of life and are of all ages.  Occupations of members include a police officer, nurses, secretaries, local government officer, business women,  teachers as well as housewives and senior citizens.

The chorus is a very friendly and happy group and give a warm welcome to visitors and prospective new members alike.
