Captured Wings

The fragile beauty of butterfly wings is a marvel to all of us.  They are intricate, completely unique, transient, and absolutely beautiful.  These delicate patterns have been captured and handset into lockets to be kept and seen forever.  Each locket is then individually set in handmade necklaces of macrame or Chinese knotwork silk cording, hemp, leather or wire.  

The variety of butterfly wings spans all across the globe including North America, the Rainforests of South and Central America, and Southeast Asia.  Each locket comes with a slip that gives the name, origin, and various facts about the butterfly contained in it.

**Absolutely no butterflies were harmed in the making of this jewelry.  All butterflies lived out the natural span of their lives and died of natural causes.**
