.:General Rules:.
The President of Canter reserves the right to change the rules for any reason at any time. Maturity and Conduct: By law, a SIM game may not collect personal information on anyone under the age of 13. Because of this law, Canter allows Memberships only to MATURE players. However, to expand on this rule, your actual age is not the only factor of maturity. This also includes attitude, and the way you treat other members. All members of Canter should conduct themselves in a mature fashion. NO cursing, NO name-calling, NO cheating on money or points, NO exclusion of others from event participation. If any of Canter's officials ask you to do something, PLEASE listen to them. If there is a failure to cooperate, the Canter officials have the right to terminate game membership at any time. Without cooperation with and from every member, both New and Full, this game will not function in the peaceful, happy way a SIM game should. Members who are inactive for over one month without any indication as to the reason for his or her absence will be deleted from the game.
.:Horses:. Each horse MUST have a picture. This is a necessity, in order to keep the game realistic. When you create a horse, you must include the web address of the picture you will be using for your horse. If there is no picture included, and no explanation why, the creation form will be deleted! *If you don't know where to look for pictures, ask! I know some good places.* Members can only own up to 15 horses. If I see anyone with more then 15 horses, the person will be asked to sell off some of their stock. *However, if you prove to CANTER’s Humane Society Board that you can support and care for more than 15 horses, you will be allowed to keep them. After you have been approved, you will receive a certificate for your page in the registry, and will be checked up on each SIM year to prove again to the Board that you can care for the horses. After a horse is created, his or her breed/color/gender stats may NOT change. The President of Canter is authorized to ask any member to change their horse's name at any time. No two horses may share the same name or picture. Keep number and types of disciplines to a reasonable and realistic program.
.:Care of Horses:. All horses must have a stall, either in their owner's barn, or at a boarding barn. All horses are to be taken to the Vet/Farrier at least once a year for maintenance. All horses MUST be maintained, and more than just Vet/Farrier maintenance! I want to see all your horses be groomed, turned out, ridden, and loved, on the message boards! If you are not taking proper care of any of your horses, you will be receiving a visit from the Humane Society Board and may face losing ownership of your horses. All horses deserve to be loved, even if they are SIM.
.:Buying & Selling Horses:. Horses can be sold through private sales or public sales. Depending on the amount of horses a person wants sold, they may hold an auction. Please contact Tara if you wish to hold an auction. Importing is NOT allowed.
.:SIM Time:. 4 REAL months = 1 SIM year. Once a SIM year has passed, all members MUST update their horse's stats on the CANTER Registry, and all necessary fees must be paid. (ie: boarding fees) All CANTER horses are retired at age 20. At age 23, all horses will undergo the Life Test. I'll roll a dice, and if it lands on a 1, 2, or 3, the horse will live for another year, but will have to take the Life Test the following year. If the dice lands on a 4, 5, or 6, the horse will die, and go to Heaven to wait for you. :)
PLEASE inform Tara when you have a horse that turns 23. If you do not, the horse will only live if the dice lands on a 1. After you have read the rules, Continue to the School-horse page. Disclaimer None of the content on this webpage and all subsequent webpages is real. It is all part of a game called CANTER, and therefore is not intended to be real.
