MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF OF POLICE

Dear Community Members:

The mission of the Cannelton Police Department is to be sensitive and responsive to the needs of the community through the delivery of professional police services for the purpose of enhancing the quality of life within the City of Cannelton. This commitment assures each citizen of Cannelton that the police services will maintain constant vigilance over his/her property and personal safety; that the necessary police response will be swift, unbiased, confident and scrupulously kept within the bounds established by law and the highest ethical traditions. The standard of performance for which the Cannelton Police Department is striving is predicated on total commitment not only to the police service but also to the general well-being of the community. By adherence to these high standards, we commit ourselves as a police department to continue to earn the respect, trust and confidence of the community.
