Love You, See You, Bye
To hear just one more of those perfectly timed jokes~
Or see him on the front porch lighting a smoke.
A freak of nature is what he called himself to those around~
But if judging by the size of his heart-a bigger one will never be found.
For the underdog he would fight~
And his bark was always worse than his bite.
No matter the situation, he could make you crack a smile~
With his clown like personality, you’d give in after awhile.
He was a man big on family & friends~
And a hand up to others he’d willingly lend.
He knew what it was to face strife~
Having dealt with struggles in his own life.
Like his father at heart, he was a pickup man~
And he knew the power in those tiny gold wedding bands.
But God has just called him home-this beloved husband, uncle, father, brother and son~
And we know that our grief has really only just begun.
May we always remember how he could light up any room by merely walking in~
And know that we will all see him once again.
But it is now his time to soar with the angels high~
So, one last time-for Jim-Love you, see you, bye…
