The idea for this site came when I had heard about Harvey's death. Harvey was a lovely Greyhound who died in tragic circumstances. His carer took him for a walk unaware that there were to be fireworks that night. Startled by the fireworks he managed to get free and ran straight under a car. His death could have been avoided had the fireworks been more publicised.

I decided that what was needed was a one-stop website that advertised everything going on in the Canberra canine scene. I am trying to work with the local rescue agencies, shelters, local veterinarians and a few others to collect as much information as I can. This way you, the dog owner/handler/rescue carer, can check one website to find out what events are on, what health warnings are going around, and if there are any safety issues such a fireworks or blue green algae.

Please tell every Canberra based dog lover you know about this site, it could save someone's life.
