Barbara C. Rice
Barbara began riding in England where she lived up until the 1970's, when she immigrated to Canada. In England she competed many horses and ponies in jumping and dressage very successfully. Since living in Canada and opening her own stable, she has focused primarily on Dressage.
She has trained over the years with some successful
Canadian Dressage team member such as:
Roger and Karen Seegert - Canadian Olympic Qualifiers
Vincent Carovillano - Canadian Long Listed Rider
Gillian Duke - Represented Canada at the World Young Horse Championships
Barbara has also sought training from:

Lisa Hunt
Catherine Haddad - American Representitive at the
2007 World Cup and WEG Alternate
Mette Rosencrantz - American Dressage Team Member
Barbara has always believed in correct and classical Dressage training. She always focuses on correct basics to ensure that both horse and rider understand all basic concepts to the fullest extent. It is very important to Barbara that both horse and rider are happy and healthy in their work and that no one is pushed too quickly.
Barbara likes to follow the Training Scale with all her horses and riders
Barbara does not accept borders at her farm, but does accept horses and riders for certain amounts of time for training. Trailer in lessons are also available at her farm and Barbara travels to many farms in the Sarnia-Lambton area to teach.
