We opened our doors

Unfortunately due to the SDA virus still being about we are requesting the following:

  ALL families who have taken in any new rats within 3 weeks of a meeting date must NOT attend with any rats.

If your rats have shown ANY signs of illness (or unexpected deaths) in the last 5-6 weeks (before a C.R.C meet) please do not attend.

Also, if you have attended another rat show (or had contact with rats from an unknown background) within 3 weeks of the date of the meeting, please do not attend.

We are also requesting that no rats who are in their older months are to attend, as they are more susceptible to illness and the stress of travel and the atmosphere of the show may cause them distress.

All of these measures will hopefully ensure that SDA does not affect any of our members and their rats. We will be actively requesting that all rats are to be kept in their carriers throughout the show, unless they are participating in the classes or other activity. Strict hygiene/anti-bacterial measures will be in place after rats have participated in an activity.

We request that non team members handle anyone else’s rats (team members will practise extreme hygiene measures to massively reduce cross contamination risks).

We also advise that you regularly wash your hands during the show and use the anti-bacterial sprays and gels which will be available.

We are aware this may appear alarming – however we want to ensure we advise our visitors correctly and request that if you have any concerns please contact us via email.

We will keep everyone

updated on what's happening and whether

more shows will be cancelled or not. Best
