My name is Callum Wheeler, and I am the Manager of Mystify Soccer team Lucchese-Libertas of the Italian Serie A
I have been manager of Lucchese-Libertas since my appointment on 3rd March 2005.
Following two marvellous seasons where Lucchese-Libertas finished third in Serie A twice in a row, the wheels came off at the start of season 11. Halfway through the season the board decided that, despite some remarkable achievements in previous years, the time had come to bring in a new manager to try on take Lucchese-Libertas to the next level. Sadly I was unable to revive the squad from their poor start to the season, and Lucchese-Libertas finished the season in 14th place with 18 points, 1 point from safety and were duly relegated.
Following a slow start to life in the Italian Serie B, Lucchese-Libertas went on an end of season run of 13 wins in their last 14 matches, eventually securing promotion on the final day, taking 3rd place on goal difference from Benevento. Special mentions must be made to the managers of Benevento (Hoo Jhuan Sen) & Perugia (Jonathan Peters) who must feel that they had done enough to secure promotion themselves.
Season 13 was a season of consolidation for Lucchese-Libertas, and patchy form saw them comfortably secure there Serie A status for next season whilst seldom threatening to achieve a UEFA Cup spot. With two games left and 11th place finish was confirmed and we began looking forward to a concerted push towards UEFA Cup qualification by the end of next season.
In season 14 Lucchese-Libertas showed real progress from their edgy first season back in Serie A. Occassional patchy performances marred a good season however they managed to gain 15 points on the previous season and a last day victory secured them a top half finish and qualification for the UEFA Cup.
