What is Magic, Anyway?
Is magic mystical and other-wordly? Is it something only a few of us can do? No. Not at all. It's simple, as all the best things in this life are.
Everything in the Universe is made up of molecules, which are in constant motion. This creates energy. Magic is simply knowing how to manipulate that energy to create needed change. The first step, of course, is learning to be aware of the energy that exists. Touching things (like a rock) and feeling the energy inside it. It takes practice.
I bet you thought I was going to teach you how to work magic. Nope. Lots of other people have written many books on the subject, and they can all do that better than I. I will tell you, though, that choosing to see things as coincidence, or choosing to be skeptical doesn't help. Believing that what happened really happened is a necessary ingredient to developing magical skills. Now, I'm not saying it depends on faith. That's a concept I don't use. I'm just saying learn how to stop automatically NOT believing in things. That also takes practice. It's been my personal experience that the more I am willing to accept what is, the more things happen. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't say this: Never, ever do anything magical to hurt another person, or to interfere with their free will. That will come back on you. Guaranteed.
Another thing has really helped me. One of the easiest things to say is "It was just my imagination." Well, I suggest that imagination is just another form of reality. There are many, many levels of reality that we can't see or touch. Many, many people believe in God or in gods, and they can't see or touch them. Accepting that not everything is tangible is something we all do. Well, most of us, anyway. All I'm suggesting is to expand that concept to include other things, too. And sit back and watch what happens.
May all your days be magical!
