The Cause
Another 60 miles completed! I can't believe I just completed my FOURTH 3-Day even. The next Tampa Bay 3-Day is scheduled for October 30 through November 1 in 2009. I would consider the Chicago walk, but it's in early August and the cooler weather experienced in 2008 [Tampa Bay] was truly wonderful!
The reason
I walk in honor of my father's sister, and my aunt,
Dorothy Pflum, who lost her battle with this disease in 1996, and to honor my
friends Debbie, Carol, Kathy, Paula, Barb, Sandra, Teresa, Pam, Jackie, Melba,
Cherie and many, many others, that are breast cancer survivors. I walk to
communicate to others the importance of breast health, education, and regular
self-exams and mammograms. And I walk with the hopes that my participation may
make the difference for someone diagnosed with this disease.
I walk because everyone deserves a lifetime.

How you can help
To participate in the 2009 walk, I am required to raise a minimum of $2,300 by the walk start. Please consider making a fully tax-deductible donation of $1 per mile to help me reach my goal. I'll be doing the hard part -- 60 miles of walking!
