St. Andrew's Parish

A CACINA Catholic Community of Believers

Come, and you will see ... that all are welcome.

St. Andrew the Apostle Parish

St. Andrew's Parish is a member of the Catholic Apostolic Church in North America (CACINA), a community of believers that seeks to bring the gospel to all people without regard to who they are or where their journey has taken them.  CACINA welcomes everyone, regardless of marital status, political belief, or sexual orientation to participate in the life and sacraments of the Church.  It asks its members only for the love of self and others that is the privilege of all Christians.

Mass:  We celebrate Mass each Sunday morning at 10:30.  We meet in the music room of Highland School, 597 Broadview Avenue, Warrenton, Virginia. We welcome to the Lord's table all baptized Christians who reverently approach it.

Sacraments:  We proclaim and celebrate the seven sacraments of the universal church.  General absolution occurs in the Penitential Rite at the start of each Mass (and private Confession is available to anyone who requests it.)  We anoint with the Sacrament of the Sick any infirmed person who desires it.  Baptism and Confirmation occur at Sunday Mass by appointment and with appropriate preparation.

The Catholic Apostolic Church in North America (CACINA) is the daughter church of the Catholic Apostolic Church in Brazil, founded by Msgr. Carlos Duarte-Costa, a Roman Catholic Bishop who left communion with Rome in 1945 because of matters of conscience related to social justice.  Bishops in CACINA trace their apostolic succession to Duarte-Costa, but they also have Eastern Orthodox and Anglican episcopal lineages. Despite this rich tradition, CACINA maintains a thoroughly Catholic identity. We are not Roman, Orthodox, or Anglican; we are grateful the Lord has called us to be CACINA Catholics.  For more information about CACINA, please see: http://www.cacina.org
