 David Goodall is back in Bristol after his four and a bit months overseas and can be contacted again as Deputy DC if you need support etc,

He is looking forward to seeing you all again in the next few weeksThe next GSLs' Meeting will be held on Tuesday 24th February 2009. Please can anybody host us that evening? If you have any agenda items please e-mail through this site by 10th February.

The Cabot Cub Scout District Bean Bag Hockey took place at the 26th HQ on two improvised indoor pitches . Nine teams played very well and the final winners were the 62nd "B" team . the results are below

The Cabot Cub Scout District Swimming Gala has been booked from 6.00 to 8.30 on Saturday March 7th 2009  at Horfield Leisure Centre
Cabot District Cub Scout camp:The Severn field at Woodhouse Park has been booked (along with the abseil tower, archery and go karts for the Saturday) for the weekend of May 15th to 17th .

We are pleased to announce that the new Local Training Manager for Cabot District was approved by the County Appointments Advisory Committee . She is Stephanie Cowling and some of you will know her – she has experience working in both the Cub Scout and Scout Sections in Cabot and in Administrative Roles. Rex Meaden will be passing over the records that he has continued to maintain since he moved on to be ACC(Cub Scouts) earlier in the year.

First Aid Training is available at a venue in Brunel District  on Saturday  29th November and is open to Cabot members if you need to go  The next course in Cabot will be run early in 2009, more details soon.

Terry Farthing, a Cabot Vice-President, passed away . The funeral was at the Canford Crematorium at 2pm on the 15th and a Wake was held at the 26th HQ

Dave Walton will be taking up the post of District Explorer Scout Commissioner for Cabot District with immediate effect.  Dave is currently an Assistant Leader with Brabazon ESU, and he continue to support the unit alongside his new role.
