Project MDR:

Rob and Sidar have decided on a new project that will lead to a future of desert racing. In this we hope to build a race truck and compete in MDR. The truck chosen is a 1985 Ford Ranger. This will be a C4Racing vehicle for the desert off road division. Complete custom RP2 Fabrication and other Racing performance parts. Our investment begins now and we start the fabricating summer of 06. We hope to be set and ready to race within 6 months from that starting date. So this summer of 05 we will be more than happy to work on any car for any service. Wish us luck and thank you.

The Gorman video is now done and can be found here http://c4.artisanpath.com/ . Sidar and Rob have many plans for the month of march. For the ranger the bedcage is going to be built so that the truck has a better rear end performace and avoid bottoming out. It will consist of Glass Bedsides, King Piggy Back reservoirs and Deaver Leaf Srpings. This will include C4 Custom Fabricated Shock hoops, verticle spare tire mount hooked to the rear bumper. For the bronco we will be adding Bilstein shocks to the front and C4 Custom fabricated Extended radius Arms to add more travel to the front end. A trip is being set up for the end of march early april so keep an eye out for that. Jons car is not being driven due to the fact that the clutch gave out on him and its getting worked on. Perhaps the new clutch will make a difference...Ryan has decided to put aside wanting a truck this year for next year. He wants to focus on the nova and completing it. -C4 Racing inc.

Happy New Years from C4 Racing!!!

Well, its a new year and we have all been busy.  Eric finished making the Canyon Run video.  It came out great and Jon and Eddie are ecstatic on how it turned out.  Eric is now currently working on making a video from the footage we got out at Gorman.  Should be done shortly for all to enjoy.  Unfortunately, this past week Sidar's truck got hit by some lady.  The truck sustained some damage to the rear bumper and fenders.  So it looks like we will be ditching the bed and mounting glass sooner than anticipated.  Rob will be back in Torrance this weekend as all of us have a lot to talk about.  #1 on the itinerary is discussion of Project MDR.  Rob has decided to start saving up and will be buying a truck in a little over a year so that we all can step foot into the world of desert racing.  Type of truck is undecided at this time but our goal is to win the 1450 class within our first 2 seasons of racing, its going to take a lot of commitment, time, sacrifice and money but we are up for the challenge.  With this in mind, Sidar has decided to hold off on building a long travel front end for his truck, he is still going to get deavers build bedcage, and Kings all the way around.  It is to become a chase truck along with Eric's so that when our racer breaks down, we will have trucks that can find us and have the tools onboard to repair the race truck.  Eric's truck is going to be getting long travel this summer.  Estimated travel numbers are as follows; 18 inches front via custom built C4 fabrications front end, 18 inches rear via 62" Deavers.  Bedcage, new coilovers and glass all the way around is also planned to complete a well built, dependable prerunner that will be able to chase our MDR truck to hell and back.

Jon and Eddie have been making a lot of PV runs and have been getting a lot on tape. Thanks to Eric and his custom designed custom fabbed (Thanks Rob) In-Car camera mount, we have a lot of shots from in their cars. A video will be posted soon. Jon preped for a clutch swap but it never happened so they put everything back together like nothing happened. He also got new wheels and tires. Eddies car is dropped too.

Eric got 3 KC 150 watt Daylighters mounted to 3 custom switches thanks to Alvarez. Sidar has gotten a lot done to his truck lately with the help of a few C4 kids. He flipped his shackles, flared out his bed sides, put on fiberglass fenders, installed limiting straps, and Rob made a spare tire mount.

The trip to Gorman was fun except Sidar broke a shock and Rob got a flat. And oh yeah, it was fucking freezing out there, and raining. But still fun.

Over Thanksgiving Rob, Sidar, and Eric worked on a spare tire mount for Sidar's truck (Rob made), worked on Rob's leafs, roof rack for BII and put Sidars front fenders on. We're all hyped for the trip.

Lancaster Trip update: Sidar, Rob, and Eric will be driving out on Christmas day at around 2:00 pm. If you want to leave Christmas day be sure to talk to one of these guys to get a seat as we are limited with seating. Carlo will be leaving early morning 26th. Talk to Carlo if you want to leave with him. Also, it WILL BE COLD at night at probably during the day. Low 20's at night. Bring plenty of warm clothes and a warm sleeping bag. As we mentioned before, we will not be providing food this time. But we will have a stove and a bbq out there for everyone to  use. We're all looking forward to the trip.

Tentative dates for the trip to the desert are as follows; December 26th - 28th.  Rob, Sidar, Eddie, and Jon are going out on the 25th so if u dont mind leaving X-mas day then ur welcome to come out the 25th too.  Bring your own food this time, Rob's not gonna organize the food n shit this time it was too much of a pain in the ass last time.  We will have coolers and grills for your food but you need to bring the food yourself.  Jon's car will soon be posted on EMR racing's website so look for it soon.  Eric is going to be buying some off road lights for his trucks so that nite will become bright out in the desert.  For more info on the trip email Rob at speedbug64@yahoo.com or talk to him on aim Fast64Volks.

C4 off road is at it again.  Another epic off road trip is scheduled for winter break, this time we are going to a little place called Cal City.  A lot of things need to get done before we hit the dirt.  Sidar needs shackles flipped and a sparetire mount made, Rob you are on it.  Eric is now the newest member of C4 and is gearing up to tear into his truck once he comes back to the south bay.  Rob is also planning to make a new bumper for his BII before the trip.  Jon put a new clutch in and should have his new motor momentarily.  Thats all for now, more news on the trip in a bit.

So Ryan's car goes into the shop tomorrow to get his rear end fixed. They estimated 15 days to a month. Thats going to be tough to deal with. Jon got his new seat belts and theyre in. Rob is selling the Baja, sad but true Palmdale was it's last run. Hes going to buy a dirt bike which will be fun. Four Wheel parts ruined Sidar's ranger. When the lift was first put on, the guys at 4WP forgot to give another set of bushings. Forced a trip to the wharehouse to pick them up. And now the coils that were at first given were for the wrong type. Coils are for 4.0l engines and the ranger is a 3.0l. Sidar got new coils and this morning an attempt by Sidar and Ryan to replace them...and it didnt follow through due to the fact that the suspension was maxing out because of the bigger coils. Made the A arm and spindle hit the frame at certain times. So when they got to the point of pulling the A arm ball joint from spindle...it was stuck because of all the time it has been hitting the frame. Tomorrow a trip and hopefully last will be set for 4wp and hopefully they fix their problem that they have made for the Ranger.

Thanks to Eric one of our videos is editted and done. The ranger video will be put on maybe later tonight. We are going to have a clip for each of the vehicles we took out there but keep in mind it will be a while because its hard work to Edit. Thanks again Eric. Palmdale trip was fun and we are going to plan another one before The friends leave to their schools.

Alright so we got back from the trip late last night. It was hot exhausting and fun. Well worth the drive. We took out 4 trucks, the baja and a mini bike. During the day we destroyed the dirt and at night we did some more. We took a lot of pictures and video clips we will try and get them on the site as soon as we can. New pics later on...

Alright we leave tomorrow. We have about 9 people going. Just about 4 trucks, the baja and a dirtbike. Sidar got the spare tired yesterday, re torqued everything tog et the ranger ready, we are going to make a mount for it on the bed when we get back because we have no time for it so we just are going to strap it to the bed. The baja has new bumpstops on, fully caged and new rear tires. We are going to have a lot of pictures and video clips. I believe the site is going to change when we get back we will have more on that. Jon is still waiting for the built motor. We come back from Off roading on sunday. More News then. PEACE OUT ~310~

Palmdale trip is july 9th we come back sunday morning. We're headed to El Mirage. Should be fun. Baja is just about ready. Ranger is getting new spare tire some time next week before we leave for the trip. Jon is getting motor swap some time this week. Ryan got rear ended, and its going to take about 3 grand to get it repaired. Needs driver side quarter panel. But it will be a while until it is fully done. Thats it for now.

We think we leave for palmdale on the 7/9 we still arent sure because some others that want to go may not get the day off but we are going to work around their schedule. The baja's cage is almost done, only a few small pieces left. We might have to cut the ranger's coil springs before we go to palmdale because they are over extending and pushing out the lower control arm. Thats a project that needs to get done before the trip. Whats next for the ranger is spare tire & mount. Shortly after that will be fiber glass Hood and front fenders. Theres going to be one more big project for it but its not going to be any time soon. Nova may be getting new stereo system soon as well as tires and wheels. After that is done the interior is going to go in. MOTOR SWAP coming soon for Jon's civic. Eddie needs the interior in his car...thats all

Last night Jon picked up the EM Racing Lower Tie Bar from Mark. Rob and Sidar helped with the install and eventually the bar went on. New exhaust is on the baja, painted black, and is much quieter. The baja also has a main relay kill switch and 4 toggles mounted on the dash. Palmdale trip coming soon when theBaja gets the roll cage in...get ready...

The team had a hard day at work today. Tried working on three things at once. Rob started painting the baja's new exhaust system, we had to readjust R.Lawrences cold air intake, and finally put the off road lights on the Ranger. It was easy but hot outside. Thats all...

Muffler is on the ranger. New exhaust system for the baja. This weekend was tough, a lot of stuff happend on sunday. Ryan, Jon Rob, Eddie and Sidar went to the VW auto show in Irvine. It was hot and a lot of cars. The way there was fun, the way back was horrible. Sidar and Rob in the orange bug on the freeway, engine starts smoking we pull over, find out oil hose sat on the header and burnt a whole on the hose which caused it to leak. But we fixed it and continued to come back home. We get a call, Ryan says they got in a car accident. Eddie was distracted and rear ended some one. They are all ok though. Tonight we put the AEM Cold Air Intake on R.Lawrence's Si. Running good, they take it for a few trips around the block. We look down the street, cop rollin up. R. Lawrence got a ticket for no front license plate and parking. He had no proof he was "racing" ..Bullshit

So the KC off road lights are in, maybe put them on sometime this weekend. We have a lot of projects coming up: Baja role cage, Ranger muffler&lights, Jon's civic needs the new clutch in, Eddie's civic needs the interior, Ram's new front coils and rear shackles including new system upgrade. Also we are going to do some business with a person to put a lift on his Sonoma sometime soon we'll see how much we accomplish of this. Started putting the cage together today. Lowered Jon's civic. That is all...

Sidar has the KC Off Road lights coming in sometime this week if not the next. Still waiting to put the muffler on. Clutch still isnt on the civic,  team doesnt have much time right now to put it on the civic. Eddie just needs all interior in the car and to register it and then it will be ready. Palmdale trip is on the verge after the baja gets the cage in. We are going to get way better pictures this time and we will try to get some film on the site. Alvarez still hasnt done the big move with his system from the cab to the bed that is going to be a while.To be continued...

Alvarez has big plans for a new system that will hit much harder than it already does. It includes having all the subs inside the bed of the truck while having his new bedtop installed. Eddie has all the painted parts ready and done, now the car needs to get insured and the SI interior inside. Rob's bug is done and ready for action. Hasn't hit Redline yet...but when he does..please watch out. Sidar has plans for some new PIAA lights in front that attach to the front bumper. Jon will be installing the Exedy clutch over the holiday so we will see how it goes. Ryan Van Brunt had the Headmen Headers, and Flowmaster Super40 mufflers installed. His ride height has also changed with new front springs. However, he needs his drop spindles in the front now.

Ryan Van Brunt took his Nova to Johnson's Alignment yesterday and had his front springs installed. Then today he took Mark from EMRacing and they dropped the car off at Sweeney's to get the flowmasters put on. Super40's i think? Eddie's car is still in progress and the muffler for Sidar is still on hold. Alvarez is still bumping and shutting everyone down at Harbor. Jon will get the clutch on soon, and the bug is up and running and ready for anyone. Ruby's and In n Out  nights on fridays, and Harbor Gateway on Sundays..see you there..

Nak, Rob, Sidar, and Alvarez head to Harbor gateway tonight to meet up with some people to chill. Fastlyfe rolls up. Steven with an SI and Nak with the civic, they race. Mr. Circle gets smoked. Congrats Nak, you killed. The bug is just almost ready to take back to serrano to recheck everything. Sidar is still waiting for the muffler. Ryan VanBrunt took his mufflers off. So thats all for right now...

So the Bug is done. Rob had to do a few adjustments to it when he got it but it runs fine. Sidar and rob are still waiting for the mufflers but word on the street is they should come in before friday. Jon still isnt sure when he wants to put the clutch in. Alvarez is waiting for coils to drop the Dodge. Eddie's car parts still arent done he is still waiting for them. Ryan Lawrence got the carbon fiber hood and its on. To be continued...

Starbucks tonight. Sidar and Rob still are waiting for the Flowmaster mufflers to arrive via Alvarez. Jon got the clutch in the mail today..its about time Ebay stopped laggin.  Eddie still waiting for the grill, side skirts, and door handles then look out for that car. Soon we hope. Rob's bug is currently staying at G. Serrano Bugs off Normandie where they are going to dynotune the motor for free..because Rob is the shit. Anyway, Ryan Lawrence is waiting for his carbon fiber hood and so are we so that he can join the crew. Hurry the fuck up. Alvarez has a new 02' Accord that he bought, belive it when you see it ladies and gentlemen. Stay tuned...

Tonight at Starbucks the Team recruited a new member, Jon Alvarez, after a little while of consideration, he was asked to join the crew and accepted, look out for that and several new members hopefully soon following after. Welcome Alvarez. Eddie's car is almost done waiting for the grill, door handles, and side skirts to be done. Rob's motor is in, just need to put a few more parts on. Ryans Nova will be gettin ready for the Flowmaster soon, interior and paint soon also. Jon is still waiting on an Exedy clutch that hasn't been shipped. Sidar and Rob both still waiting for the Flowmaster mufflers too.

The team put the engine in the bug tonight took a while and work but its in. With a few things left to do on it it should start up on sunday. We are getting a few more people joining the team see specs in a few days.

Sidar and Rob worked on the engine yesterday, today and tomorrow the engine goes in. The fire wall is in right now. We had to modify few parts of the engine so we spent most of the time doing that. We have a big chance of getting it running this weekend. Sidar still waiting for the flowmaster.

Rob picked up the motor from GSerrano. Eddie finally gets the car out the bodyshop all he needs to do is get it registered, insured, put the new interior, put rear disc brakes on, and get the the grill, chinspoiler, mirrors, and sideskirts painted and put on the car.

So Rob got in trouble for wreckless driving in the West High parking lot. We're going to scan his saturday school sheet so you guys can read the bullshit that school is made of. Its pretty funny though. Sidar ordered flowmaster for the ranger which should be here monday and installed some time during the week. Palmdale trip is off cause people are lame. But for sure it will follow through over the summer. Rob gets his engine really soon maybe this weekend? not to sure. So finally we're gonna make the skid plate on monday for the ranger. Sidar got a ticket for no front license plate. We dont know anymore about Eddie's car, the bastards supposely working on it make up shit.

Ryan's interior comes in a few days. We're making the Ranger's skid plate on saturday or atleast starting it has to be ready before palmdale trip which is next sunday. 2 more weeks for Rob's engine. Eddie's car still not out yet hoppefully soon. Jon got new Scat seats, we're taking new pics of the civic when theyre in.Group pic whenever Eddie's car is out the shop.

John beat a Porsche last night, if you dont believe it talk to him he'll give you all details. Sidar is taking off the blocks from the back today. Palmdale trip is in 2 weeks, should be fun. We have to get the baja ready for it's last off road trip but Rob will be buying a Truck, 86-90 Toyota?. Hopefully stick. We're gonna put a lift on that and destroy it. Ryan is ordering his interior some time soon for the Nova. Eddies car isnt quite out yet.

Alright so we have both civics on the site now. But the fact of having eddie do his own shit before telling me so i could do it, he messed some things up on the site. Such as the News, we restarted. Rob gets the engine in 3 weeks. Eddie gets his car hopefully tomorrow. Sidar has the new Fabtech bumper on that was installed tonight by the team. We also took a picture of Jon's civic head to head with the ranger which will be posted some time soon along with the group pics.
