About me

I am from Cape Town, South Africa and have played the beautiful game of football since the tender age of five.

I have captained all teams I played from Primary School(Saint Theresa's) through to High School (Athlone High). I also captained club soccer from under 13 till senior level and played for Jamestown United Football Club.

I have just been recruited to play in the Castle 3rd Division for Young Idols. In my first match I came on as a substitute and was in the starting line-up for the three following games.

I am a defender with the ability to shoot, control and pass the ball with both feet. I am a good reader of the game with good skills at timing of the ball.

This is me on the left of the picture, my cousin Maxine in the middle and my cousin Jonathan on the right.

Any agent, scount or clubs manager is free to contact me and I welcome any opportunity to attend a trial.

Robyn Johannes

My friend Robyn Johannes, who plays for the South African premeir league side, Mamelodi Sundowns, recently received his call-up to the national team.

He previously captained the national under-23 team. I wish him all of the best.

Here he is in the Sundowns game against Tottenham Hotpsurs.

I watched this game beween Mamelodi Sundowns and FC Barcelona at the Loftus Stadium In Pretoria South Africa. Robyn Johannes did not play in this game as he was injured but chilled with me for the entire weekend. Loftus Stradium will host Brazil and Italy in June 2009 for the Confederations Cup.

Football - Mandela to attend South Africa-Norway match

02 March 2009

South Africa’s former president Nelson Mandela and a clutch of other Nobel Peace Prize winners are set to attend a match between South Africa and Norway on March 28, said FIFA.

Mandela is to be joined by Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama, last year’s winner Martti Ahtisaari, Anglican Archbishop Desmond Tutu and former South African president FW de Klerk, FIFA said in a statement on its website.

The match at the refurbished 42,000-seat Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg coincides with a peace conference on March 27 in Johannesburg, spearheaded by the Norwegian-based Nobel Peace Committee.

The conference is an initiative of the local organising committee for the 2010 World Cup, and will focus on how football can help fight racism and xenophobia, organisers said.

South Africa, who recently climbed to 70 in the FIFA world rankings and 15th in the African rankings, will face the Norwegians, ranked 56th in the world, in the annual Nelson Mandela Challenge.

The match will mark the reopening of the stadium after its upgrades for the Confederations Cup in June.

"The hosting of the Peace Conference before the match adds a special ingredient in bringing hope to the troubled parts of the world," South African Football Association boss Raymond Hack said in the statement.
