BWA NEWS! BWA TEAMS UP WITH FWA!

BWA returned to action on Febuary 16th and they welcomed the wrestlers from FWA to BWA. The first match of the evening was FWA wrestlers Twisted Outcast and Livewire taking on each other.  This match was evenly matched and saw both wrestlers giving their all to pick up the win. In the end we saw Livewire pick up the win with a Canadan Destroyer. The second match of the evening we saw the return of GBYWN Heavyweight Champion, Matt Knicks as he was taking on Axel. This was a pretty one sided match but we saw Knicks pick up the near 400 pounder and deliever a death valley driver for the win. The next match we also saw the return of X to BWA as he wrestled BKI in a hardhitting bout. This match was stiff as hell and we even saw BKI bust X open. In the end we saw X pick up the victory in his return match. The next match was for the BWA Heavyweight Championship. We saw Alex Ohlson making his first defence against Domi. This was a very technical match with many nearfalls. But, we saw Ohlson hit the Code Orange on Domi for the win. The main event of the evening was an epic one. We saw FWA wrestlers Chris Breakdown taking on Twisted Outcast in a brutal match. This match went all over the arena and saw some sick spots. But we saw Breakdown pick up the win.

BWA officials would like to thank the guy from FWA for coming to the event and hope there will be more BWA/FWA shows in the future.

BWA NEWS: MATT KNICKS....DONE?

Matt Knicks has released a promo and BWA officials dont know what to make of it. As of Last Wednesday, December 10th, 2008, Matt Knicks is no longer a member of BWA. BWA officials and Matt Knicks agreed to terms on his release. We were not able to reach Matt Knicks for comments, but BWA officials had this to say. " We are deeply saddened that we are loosing a wrestler of the caliber of Knicks, but this is the time that we need other wrestlers to step up and fill the void in the roster. We are currently in negotiations with some new talent who will be debuting very soon."

here is the promo Knicks released:

HUGE NEWS! NEW BWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!

In an event that shocked the wrestling world, Alex Ohlson defeated Matt Knicks for the BWA Heavyweight Championship on November 11th, 2008. The match itself is described to be the most brutal match in BWA history. Ohlson ended Matt Knicks' 1 year, 1 month and 15 days 2nd reign as BWA Heavyweight Champion. In Matt Knicks' two BWA Heavyweight Championship reigns he has held the belt for a combined 2 years, 1 month and 15 days. This is Ohlson's first reign as champion. He is also the BWA Middleweight Champion. We will have more including comments from both wrestlers very soon.

BIG BWA NEWS UPDATE!

As most of you may know, Alex Ohlson is the #1 contender to the BWA Heavyweight Championship. BWA President Patrick Eastman has said we have waited long enough for Knicks to "heal from his injuries". So he gave Knicks till the end of the week to defend the title or he will be stripped of it. BWA Heavyweight Champion Matt Knicks has been dodging us for quite some time, but we finally caught up with him and this is what he had to say about Eastmans threats. " You know what, I am really sick of that piece of trash Patrick Eastman. He thinks he can just demand that i defend MY title, even though i may not be 100% healthy! You know what though thats fine, but i have one simple demand that needs to be met before i can compete. I refuse to defend the belt on the trampoline, I am a world class wrestler and i am above wrestling on a simple backyard bouncing toy, in fact for this moment on i will never wrestle on that trampoline again. So if Alex Ohlson thinks he can wrestle without the cushion padding of his precious trampoline, then he can meet me in a place where the real men wrestle. He can meet me in the old UHW arena on Tuesday November 11th, 2008 and we can see who the better wrestler is."
What does Matt Knicks mean he will never wrestle on the trampoline again and what will Eastman do when he finds out about this, and will Alex Ohlson respond to Knicks' challenge? We will keep you posted.

BWA NEWS!

BWA hasn't updated its site in a while, so here is some news that has passed. First, On August 24th, 2008, Alex Ohlson defeated Matt Knicks in a non title match to gain a future title shot against Knicks. Then on August 31st, 2008, Alex Ohlson came out and challenged Matt Knicks to a match, however Knicks came out on crutches and said he couldn't wrestle. He had the returning Shane O'Mac wrestle in his place for the BWA Lightweight Championship on the line. Knicks later in the match cracked Ohlson with a crutch and showed he was indeed not injured and cost Ohlson the belt. Also on this day, domi wrestled Social Hazard, who was wrestling for the first time since suffering a severe concussion at the hands of X. But when Social Hazard came out, he was reffering to himself as "Captain Glucose" and came out dressed as a superhero. Domi made quick work of him and began to attack him after the match. Domi also asked for some camera time to discuss his future in BWA.
In other news, BWA will be represented at a GBYWN Supershow on November 1st and 2nd by BWA & GBYWN Heavyweight Champion Matt Knicks, Alex Ohlson and Domi.
On Day 1 in the day show, Domi will face Ace McCree, Alex Ohlson will face Chris Kash, and in the main event, it will be Jason Fierce vs Matt Knicks.
On Day 1 in the night show, Domi will face Manbeast, Matt Knicks will face Chris Kash, and in the main event, it will be Alex Ohlson vs Aj Rodz.
On Day 2, it will be Drew Barton vs Domi, Alex Ohlson vs Davi Jones, and Matt Knicks defending his GBYWN Heavyweight Championship against AJ Rodz, from Rockford, Illinois said this would be his last match in BYW. He called out Matt Knicks in a YouTube promo and Knicks responded with his own, accepting his challenge

BREAKING NEWS! BWA GETS ITS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BACK!

Early this morning BWA officials receved a package with the BWA Heavyweight Championship Belt. It also contained a note which read, " Beware of the coming of TCW!" BWA officials can only assume that a rival company had something to do with this but are glad that the belt is back home. However, the BWA Tag Team Championships are still missing.

BWA HAS BEEN STABBED IN THE BACK!

BWA has learned some shocking news. When X said he wanted to leave BWA, BWA officials naturally thought he would be leaving the business. But, BWA officials have learned that X wishes to start a rival promotion to compete with BWA. That isnt it. X has apparently gotten the services of the new BWA Tag Team Champions Axel and BKI and they have left BWA but have STOLEN the BWA Tag Team and BWA Heavyweight Championship and BWA Hardcore belts! BWA officials have acted fast and have stripped Axel and BKI of the championships and have banned Axel, BKI and X from BWA. BWA officials have stated that BWA heavyweight Champion Matt Knicks will begin to use the old BWA Heavyweight Championship belt again and are currently in the works of purchasing new Tag Team Championship belts. And also with this news BWA officials have retired the BWA Hardcore Championship. We will have more information on this as the situation progresses.

The War Is On!
For anyone who has been following the events occurring between Matt Knicks and Alex Ohlson, this is for you. Matt Knicks cut a promo recently about Alex Ohlson and Ohlson sent in his response. These are the videos.
Matt Knick's Promo on Alex Ohlson

Alex Ohlson's Promo Responce

The match has been signed. BWA & GBYWN Heavyweight Champion Matt Knicks will take on BWA Lightweight and BWA Middleweight Champion in a special double #1 Contenders match! If Knicks wins then he gets a shot at Ohlson's Middleweight Championship and if Ohlson wins then he gets a shot at the Heavyweight Championship!

Knicks named Wrestler of the Week and challenges made to the champion?

BWA & GBYWN Heavyweight Champion Matt Knicks has been named the Wrestler of the Week by the Global Backyard Wrestling News Site. He holds this honor for the week of 7/27/08 - 8/2/08. Matt Knicks had this to say about it. "Its about time GBYWN has started to recognize my talent. Its just such a shame it took them this long to do it. After all, I am currently the BWA and GBYWN Heavyweight Champion. But seriously I am honored to receive such an award and I will continue to wrestle at my very best and to continue to dominate the competition not only in BWA, but in the GBYWN also." In other news Knicks is set to face Alex Ohlson in a non title match with high implications on the line. This all transpired through posts in a blog on the BWA Myspace. http://www.myspace.com/bwawrestling1
The conversation went as followed:
"Thats right, I did what i said i was gonna do. Domi is a punk and doesn't deserve another shot at me."
(Posted by Slick Nick! (Matt Knicks)(XCWT) on Jul 23, 2008 6:36 PM)

"You might say Domi might not deserve a shot. I think he might, he did take a fall. But lets get down to business, me and you. For a brief second, i held 3 BWA titles at once and right now i hold the Lightweight Title the Middleweight Title and all i need is the Heavyweight title and that would probably shut you up! Let me defend BWA's honor by myself and defending the title against everyone who truly deserves title shots!"
(Posted by Alex on Jul 23, 2008 9:58 PM)

"Well you see Alex the fact of the matter is this. You beat Social Hazard, I beat Domi. BIG difference there in competition buddy. But Ill tell you what. You did unify the BWA intercontinental and BWA United States Belts, and that is no easy feat! Believe me! Ill talk to my buddy Eastman, and Ill see if i can throw together a challenge match for you. You win, you get a shot at the belt. But if you loose then you wrestle me for your new Middleweight Championship."
(Posted by Slick Nick! (Matt Knicks)(XCWT) on Jul 23, 2008 10:54 PM)

"If thats a challenge, i accept! I just hope your wrestling is better than your memory because if you dont remember, i was BWA #1 contender just a few months ago and i earned it by beating Domi just like you did and was in the triple threat match where you pinned Domi. I didn't tap, pass out, or get pinned but for some reason lost my #1 contendership."
(Posted by Alex on Jul 24, 2008 12:59 AM)

"You bet your ass thats a challenge! You cocky little prick! You better watch who your talking to! After I defeat you in this challange match, then I WILL defeat you for your Middleweight Championship. You better be ready, because you wont know what hit you!"
(Posted by Slick Nick! (Matt Knicks)(XCWT) on Jul 28, 2008 12:46 AM)

We just got off the phone with President Eastman, and the match has been signed.

Out with the old and in with the even older?

Coming off the heels of the most successful BWA show to date, BWA officials have some big news updates. First off, BWA has come to terms with X on his release from BWA. X has left BWA on good terms and BWA officials said the door will be open for a possible return, with that said the BWA Hardcore Championship is now vacant. We will try to have comments from X in the near future. X isn't the only wrestler to part ways with BWA. Former BWA Tag Team Champion, The Impact Player has been fired from BWA for no showing the BWA 3rd Anniversary show, which he was scheduled to defend the BWA Tag Team Championships. This isn't the first time The Impact Player has had problems with BWA officials and this is probably the last time we will see The Impact Player in BWA. Also, BWA officials have revived the BWA Middleweight Championship. They said since Alex Ohlson unified and retired the BWA Intercontinental and BWA United States Championships, BWA needed a secondary title so they brought back the BWA Middleweight Championship. The belt has been awarded to Alex and he will be defending it shortly. Also, after the Anniversary show, Social Hazard had to be taken to the hospital after a vicious chair shot from X. We do not know the condition on Social hazard at this time but will keep you updated as the situation progresses. This is all the news for now. Thank you!

BWA 3rd Anniversary Show results!

This past Saturday, BWA celebrated its 3rd Anniversary with a huge show! The show was coming live from the Justice Park District in Justice Illinois and it took place in a professional ring. The show started off with BWA President Patrick Eastman coming out to welcome the fans. He was soon interrupted by BWA Heavyweight Champion, Matt Knicks. Knicks basically threatened him to cancel his match with Domi. Eastman said no and just when Knicks was about to attack him. Domi came out which caused Knicks to run away. Now onto the matches...

4 Way Match For the BWA Tag Team Championships
Axel & B.K.I. Def. El Diablo Verde & El Asso Wipeo, Cotton Eye Joe & Hell Raiser, & James Extreme.
This match was strange because James was forced to defend the belts on his own because his partner, The Impact Player, did not show. Cotton Eye Joe & Hell Raiser were eliminated first when they were disqualified when they used a steel chain. El Diablo Verde & El Asso Wipeo were eliminated next when James Extreme pinned Verde after his finisher The Ground and Pound. Then, after battling back and fighting the odds, James Extreme was pinned and here are your new BWA Tag Team Champions, Axel & B.K.I.!

BWA Hardcore Championship Match
X Def. Hardcore Harry
X had his work cut out for him in this match. He was defending the Hardcore Championship against an unknown opponent, who turned out to be a special guest. Direct from NWA Underground this was Hardcore Harry! Harry took the fight straight to X. They battled all around the Park area, even in the play area! But, X proved why he was Hardcore Champion when he hit the G2S on Harry for the 1,2,3. But, after the match, Social Hazard came from under the ring and clocked X with a chair and pinned him to win the Hardcore Championship!

BWA United States & BWA Intercontinental Title for Title Unification Match
Alex Ohlson Def. Social Hazard
This match was full of hate and had more than the titles on the line. These two men had to prove they were the best. This match was full of high flying moves and stiff shots by both men. No one really knew who would win this match. But, in he end, Alex Ohlson won the match and became a unified champion! But, after the match, X came through the crowd and gave Social Hazard the hardest chair shot in the history of wrestling! He then pinned Hazard to win back the Hardcore Championship. After that, Social Hazard seemed to be knocked out bad, and had to be stretchered out of the ring.

BWA Heavyweight Championship 2 out of 3 Falls Match
Matt Knicks Def. Domi, 2 falls to 1
It was now time for the main event. Both men knew that this was the biggest match of either mans career. They started out really fast, hitting hard strikes and using alot of mat based wrestling. Until Knicks slapped Domi, then it all broke down. It was a brawl. Then, out of nowhere, Knicks landed an huge piledriver and scored the first fall. He then started laying the boots to Domi and a little later he hit his patented move "I Invented This Move" and Domi Kicked out! He then picked him up to do it again and Domi gave him a back drop. As Knicks staggered to get to his feet, Domi measured him up and delivered a huge Domi Kick! Then the match was tied at one fall a piece. The match went back and forth. Then Knicks went for the "67 Nothing" and Domi reversed it and went for the Domi kick, Knicks then reversed that and landed "The Argo Special" and got the pin fall and the match.

This event was a huge success and the DVD will be available for purchase very soon.

I hope everyone has a blast on there!

BWA NEWS: MATT KNICKS AWARDED GBYWN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!

On June 5th 2008, Matt Knicks was awarded the GBYWN Heavyweight Championship. Cam, the leader of GBYWN (Global Backyard Wrestling News), wanted a champion who could carry the GBYWN and could help GBYWN grow into a dominate force in backyard wrestling. The championship is basically a GBYWN Championship, but for now, will be defended exclusivity in BWA. Knicks does have the option to defend it in and other fed at any time.

BWA NEWS: BWA PRESIDENT ANNOUNCES THE REST OF THE ANNIVERSARY CARD!

Thats right BWA President Patrick Eastman sent me an email today telling me the other matches set to take place at the BWA 3rd Anniversary show, on July 12th 2008. One match we will see Axel taking on BKI and Cotten Eye Joe in a 3 way dance. In a 4 way dance it will be James Extreme & The Impact Player defending the BWA Tag Team Championships against the teams of The Speed Breed (Antonio Boccelli & T-Bone),  Phoenix & Flash, and El Diablo Verde & El Asso Wipeo. Another match will be the debuts of Insaniac and Nick. And  rounding out the card it will be X defending the BWA Hardcore Championship against Wicked Hatchet Dan. This is going to be the biggest show in BWA history.

BWA NEWS: BWA PRESIDENT ANNOUNCES FIRST TWO MATCHES FOR 3RD ANNIVERSARY!

This morning, BWA President Patrick Eastman, informed us that he has some matches in mind for this years Anniversary show, scheduled for July 12th. Mr. Eastman had this to say," In BWA, the Anniversary show is the biggest event of the year, so naturally it has to have some big matches. Two of the biggest feuds this year will be settled as first we will see the BWA United  States Champion, Alex Ohlson taking on his rival and BWA Intercontinental Champion, Social Hazard in a title for title unification match. This match has more than just pride on the line, as the winner will not only unify the two belts, but he will be the first holder of a new championship to take the other two place. The other fued is the most intresting I personally have ever seen. It is driven, not by hatred, but by pure competition and pride. It will be Matt Knicks defending the BWA Heavyweight Championship against Domi in a Two out of Three Falls Match. This fued began when Knicks won the now defunct BWA Championship from Seany Boy on December 1st, 2006. He gloated saying he was the best champion in BWA history. Fastforword to June 30th 2007, BWA 2nd Anniversary Show, where Domi defeated X to realize his dream to become BWA Heavyweight Champion. Matt Knicks waited for the right moment to challenge Domi, whom he had never beaten up to this point, and on September 27th, 2007 Matt Knicks defeated Domi to unify the BWA Heavyweight and BWA Championships. This didn't go too well for Domi, because less than a week later, Knicks defeated Domi again, this time for the UHW Heavyweight Championship. Knicks was on a roll. But then it seemed Domi was gaining speed when he was set to face Alex Ohlson in a #1 contenders match for Knicks's belt. Domi almost pulled off the victory, but was screwed when Knicks ran in a delivered a 67 NOTHING behind the refs back, costing Domi the match and the title shot. But, I saw what an injustice this was so I forced Knicks to defend the belt against Ohlson and Domi in a three way dance. Knicks, unfortunally, stole the victory when he pinned Domi by holding the tights. I hope that on July 12th, 2008 Domi can beat Knicks and wake him up from this ego trip. I will be announcing more matches very soon." So there you have it. Two matches ready for the 3rd Anniversary, and lets keep in mind. It will be one year since Domi defeated X for his 1st Heavyweight Championship, can he do it again? Plus, Domi is undefeated at Anniversary shows. This should be a night to remember.

BWA NEWS: RESULTS FOR 4-20-08!

BWA Wrestling had another great show on Sunday April 20th. The first match on the card of the was BWA Heavyweight Champion Matt Knicks taking on BWA Newcomer Axel. Axel, the bigger of the two, showed his strength and Knicks battled back as much as he could and just when we thought Knicks might loose, BWA Hardcore Champion, X, came in the ring and delivered a viscous chair shot, resulting in a DQ for Knicks. Then BKI entered which resulted in a match between X and him. This match was hard hitting and intense, but we saw X pick up the win. The next match was a good technical match. It was BWA Lightweight & BWA United States Champion, Alex Ohlson taking on Domi. This match was excellent match with lots of high spots, but in the end we saw Domi win. Right after this match, a match announced by the new BWA President, via phone. It was BWA Heavyweight Champion, Matt Knicks and BWA Lightweight & BWA United States Champion, Alex Ohlson taking on Domi and BWA Intercontinental Champion, Social Hazard. This match was full of great double team moves but in the end, we saw Domi and Hazard score the upset win. To view all the matches, click here: http://youtube.com/user/AlexOhlson

BWA NEWS: RESULTS FOR BWA RETURN ON 4/18/08!
BWA returned to action on Friday, April 18th and due to some scheduling conflicts, the card had to be changed a little. The first match was a match to find a #1 contender for the BWA Hardcore Championship. It was T-Bone taking on Wicked Hatchet Dan. Dan defeated T-Bone and after the match BWA Hardcore Champion, X, attacked him. The next match was a match for the vacant BWA United States Championship, it was Shane O'Mac taking on the BWA Lightweight Champion, Alex Ohlson. This was a good match with Shane hitting some of his trademark German Suplexes. But in the end we saw Ohlson pick up the win, and the title. After the match, BWA Intercontinental Champion and Ohlson rival, Social Hazard, came out and attacked him. The next match was a match for the BWA Heavyweight Championship. It was BWA Heavyweight Champion, Matt Knicks taking on BWA Intercontinental Champion Social Hazard. This was a good back and forth match but in the end we saw Knicks retain his championship. The main event of the evening was for the BWA Hardcore Championship. X was defending against two new comers to BWA. It was, in their BWA debuts, BKI and Axel. This was one of the hardest hitting battles ever in BWA. With so many near falls and high impact moves. In the end we saw X retain his title, but what a debut for BKI and Axel, we hope to see more from these two wrestlers.

BWA NEWSWIRE: MATT KNICKS TURNED AWAY!
Matt Knicks has returned home from his trip to Orlando, Florida but he did not go alone. He took along with him former BWA Intercontinental Champion, Phoenix. Both Knicks and Phoenix were in Universal Studios on Friday, the same day as the WWE Wrestlemania Fan Axis Tour and a TNA Impact tapeing. The war was on. Not only was Knicks promoting BWA to anyone and everyone, but we was badmouthing the competition also. "WWE, you know what that really stands for? WORST WRESTLING EVER!", Knicks said to one young fan. "TNA Wrestling, you know why their still around? Because the stole all of ROH's top talent just to stay alive!" He said to another. Eventually he was escorted off the property of the Fan Axis Tour but not before shouting rude comments at the WWE "superstars" signing autographs. Soon after that Knicks, BWA Heavyweight Championship belt and all, attempted to invade the TNA Impact taping. TNA security said the would not allow me in the building due to the threats i made twords Shark Boy. Shark Boy eventually came out which resulted in the exchanging of words and the Knicks slapping Shark Boy across the face! Knicks was escorted off park property and unfortunately, the video footage was confiscated. Knicks had this to say about the whole ordeal. " I am not scared of any one. No one in WWE, TNA, ROH, Japan, Europe, Africa WHATEVER! No one and I mean no one can stop me or can stop BWA. See the fact of the matter is this. WWE kicked me out because the knew that I was going to help their fans realize how crappy their product was. TNA kicked me out because they saw me as a threat to their talent and when I smacked Shark Boy across the face I showed him, I showed TNA, I showed the wrestling community and I showed the world, that BWA is the real deal and we are here to stay!" Strong words from Matt Knicks. In other news, BWA will return to action very soon. Keep on the look out for news updates!

BWA NEWS: MATT KNICKS TO INVADE WWE WRESTLEMANIA FAN AXIS TOUR & TNA IMPACT!

BWA Heavyweight Champion Matt Knicks has informed us that he will be in Orlando Florida on March 28th 2008 promoting BWA and has this to say. "I don't think I need to spell this out for you. I HATE WWE! Always have always will, and this seems like the perfect time to show them what Matt Knicks and BWA is made of. I am going to invade their Fan Axis Tour for Wrestlemania. I will be there for one purpose only, to challenge Vince McMahon to do anything in his power to stop BWA. Because quite frankly I don't see that happening ever. Next order of business, TNA. Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Pshh what a joke. They are the worst wrestling going on now, and I will be invading the impact zone for the sole purpose to challenge a TNA superstar. Now, I have been in talks with TNA and I told them I wanted Kurt Angle, AJ Styles and Tomko in a 3 on 1 handicap match. They told me they were already booked, so I have to settle for someone else. So I am laying down the challenge right now, SHARK BOY! I want you. In a match. For the BWA Heavyweight Championship! If your man enough. Now I know what your thinking. How can Matt Knicks handle all this star power on one day. Well, I will not be alone. I will select one BWA superstar to join me on my quest to display BWA supremesy to the world! I will announce who I will be taking next week, so until next time, this is Matt Knicks, and I am OUT!" What a huge challange Matt Knicks has laid down. Will Shark Boy except? Who will Matt Knicks pick to join him? All this and more on the next BWA newswire.
