Buttondown Native Ponies

Thought that it was about time that I started to update site with what is news.

This year we have had two foals, one Fell colt and One Exmoor filly. We have sold all of our Welsh Section A ponies so we will stay with just the two breeds.

As for showing this year the weather has also been very bad and what with Fuel prices we have not done many. The ones we have done we have enjoyed and did well with our Exmoor yearling and with a exmoor mare and a Fell mare.

We still get updates from people who have brought our ponies and very good news was that the first Fell we bred Buttondown Sarna is now a mum herself having a super colt foal. 

We  moved to Wales nine years ago, with us came our Fell stallion and two Fell mares and our New Forest ponies and one Welsh Section A.

Since then things have moved on ,we have had a outdoor manage built and more stables and are concentrating on only two breeds. We are breeding Fells and Exmoor ponies and have recently been fortunate to buy our own Exmoor stallion.

We now have our Fell Stallion Copse Farm Tigger and Five  mares and our Exmoor stallion Coedywern Fagus and six mares .  We still have one New Forest Mare called Silverlea Nightflight and she will never be sold

Last year we had a very good show season with all the ponies we showed including our Welsh Section A's and our Exmoors. Highlight was our Exmoor stallion wining the stallion class at Exford the Exmoor breed show and going Champion at the Welsh Area Show.

Last year our Exmoor mares had four foals, three of which have all gone to super homes and one we are keeping. We had two Fell foals ,one was born September.

The ponies which we sold to new homes are all doing very well and Paul and I look forward to hearing from there new owners with updates. We have ponies in Scotland, Northern England, Wales and Belgium.

We are looking forward to this years shows and hope the weather is better to us all than last year..
