BIG CHANGES TO COME!!

But a Memory advertises a few different categories of horses, but our passion and ultimate goal is to change the lives of horses that are currently at the doggers awaiting their fate.  These horses have become  "But a Memory".  We are advertising them to show you horses available for sale before they meet their demise, that is the European  meat market. 

Horses listed in the Doggers page are currently in the dogger yards and all have a deadline, they are only available for sale for a short period of time before the doggers will destroy them. We profit in no way from the sale of these horses, these horses are not owned by us, our aim is just to try to rehome them. 

Horses listed in the Rescue page are often on their way to the dogger yard. They may be at a dealers, or at a transitional property. We class them as rescues because they are well on their way to becoming "But a Memory" and more often than not they carry the signs of a horse that has battled through many months of their life. 

Horses listed in the classifieds page are simply horses that we have been asked to advertise in order to assist their owners in finding their horse the best possible home. 

No matter the source of the ad you respond to, all money is to be paid by the buyer/rescuer directly to the dogger/dealer or owner.  It is not our policy to become involved in any financial transaction, nor do we make any commission.

PLEASE NOTE: Any buyer purchasing horses or transport through the BUT A MEMORY site wishing to pay by cheque should be aware that all cheques must CLEAR before horses are transported. Any dishonoured cheques reflect badly not only on the purchaser, but more so, on But a Memory itself. This puts in jeopardy our ability to list dogger and dealer horses.

Horses are sold "as is, where is".  Descriptions are to the best of our knowledge.  Errors and omissions accepted.
