A referral is an opportunity to present your business to a person(s) company who are in the market to buy your product or service. Your presentation will be expected and looked forward to.
These are not guaranteed sales, but they do provide you with an open door to present and discuss your business.
The conversion of a quality refferal to actual business is then up to you.
It is in everybodies interest to specialise in REFERRALS :-
GIVING Good References
LISTEN for a need
TELL them you know of someone who can provide the service they require
EXPERIENCE / TESTIMONIAL -If you have done business with a member, offer a testimonial, otherwise give experience from the members presentations.
ASK - for details to exchange
ARRANGE - for the member to call
CONTACT -the member as soon as possible, then pass on the refferal at the next meeting, or inform the group.
BUSINESS CARDS - make full use of members business cards.
REFERRAL FEEDBACK - it is important to give feedback about refferals received. Firstly this should be to the person who gave the refferal. Was it good? Did it generate business? Give a thankyou and tell the meeting.
Positive communication will assist us all in ensuring quality refferals are always passed.
It is vital that we work with each other to ensure that we understand each others needs.
When done correctly, this is a very profitable to ALL.
