Blending In Photoshop
Written By: Gwen
First, you need to open up Photoshop and, if you need to, an Internet window. Once in Photoshop, set your size to about 600x500-just to be safe. Change the preset to Custom.
Click for Example
Then click Okay. You should now be here. I will be using these two pictures:

and

Copy the image that you would like to use on the left (it makes things easier). Go up to Edit>Paste and then click on it.
Example
Your first image should now be up on the screen. Now, go up to the arrow () and click on it. Your image should now have a square around it. Move your image to the left side of the screen and, going over to the right, click on "New Layer". To do this, you must have the "Layers" arrow turned down or you will not find it.
Example
After you have created a new layer, copy and paste your second image. Your screen should now look like this: Click
Now for the blending. Move your second image so it overlaps your first.
Example
Over on your left, you will see a button that looks like this: That is your Rectangular Marquee Tool. Some of your Marquee tools may be set on an Eliptical Marquee tool, but either way click on it. Above your image, you will now see a bar.

The part outlined in red is the part you need to pay attention to. I set my "feather" to 19, but use whatever you like. Test out a few numbers to see which you prefer. Then, take your tool and highlight the overlapped bit of your image, so it looks like this. Next, find the Delete key on your keyboard. It should be in the set of keys above the arrow keys, on the bottom and to the far left. Press it. Then, keep pressing it until your are satisfied with your image.

Choose "Save" and you're done. Trim off the edges of the white in Paint and then upload to a Webhost such as Photobucket.
