Well... Sh*t

Feb 15, 1872

This is it. They are going to kill me. Personally, I hope they go for incineration this time, but probably not. Rumors are going around that the garrote is the new fad. Damn. I can already imagine how it will hurt. I can't stop rubbing my neck.

Curse those Jesuits, giving me a hard time with such a painful execution. I told them I am innocent. INNOCENT! But they just turned their backs on me! If I had one more day, I would at least vandalize more of their property! Maybe pee on their robes. Hehe, that would be good! Those cowards. I can take on anyone of them!

Curse my lawyers too. Traitors. I'm pretty sure it's unethical to turn against your client in the middle of a trial.

Curse that trial too. That was so fake. It sounded like a bad telenovela script.

Why oh why. There is so much left for me to do, so many things left to try. I haven't even tried that panciteria that just opened. I heard it's really good. Oh well, at least I outlived Zamora, and I have the sweet promise of haunting revenge! Hmmm..I do hope I don't look too bad when I am dead. I have to admit I am quite dashing for my age. I want chicks to mourn and cry that the great Burgos is dead. Oh poor ladies!

And that Octavo bast*** and his mutineers? Goddamn them! How dare they drag me into this! I swear to God I will come back to haunt every single one f them! I will give them hell! Imagine them waking up in the middle of the night to see my deformed figure before them! Bwahaha!

Oh well, time's up. Looks like that reprieve they promised me is nowhere to arrive. Damn them too for lying to me. I guess I'd better return this laptop I'm typing on now. Malakas pala signal ng Wifi sa Luneta...

Cavite Mutiny

Jan 21, 1872 | 5:54 PM

Workers at the Cavite Arsenal staged a revolt due to an unreasonable decrease in their wages. More discrimination by the peninsulares.

This is bad. Word has gotten out that some Octavo guy testified that I ordered some guy named Zaldua to do the recruiting for the uprising. Lies! How dare they bear false witness against their neighbor! A priest nonetheless! I pray to God that I would be spared of this great injustice...

Worth Dying For

Sep 11, 1869 | 9:33 PM

Felipe Buencamino got out of jail today. Finally, I was actually getting quite tired of finding ways to get him out sooner. He was sent in around four months back charged with spreading nationalist propaganda. He wrote leaflets and spread them around his school's campus in demand for academic freedom. What a crazy boy, but its okay I'm like that too. I like spreading open letters to anger Spanish priests. I can see Felipe's going to be very active one day in pursuit of the betterment of our nation. I'm glad there's one more person who gives a - wait, I'm not supposed to curse - one more person who cares about the abuses that go on around here. I realize I can only help so much. Filipinos have to see for themselves the agony going on, on grander scale! Once they see past their individual problems and realize that all of us share in their problems then we have something going.

Felipe just came by a moment ago to help him through his studies. He missed a lot being four months in jail and out of school. What a crazy boy, but its okay I'm like that too. Anyway, he asked me to be his tutor to help him catch up on the loads of lectures that he had missed and I agreed to help. We've arranged for him to visit me everyday after class. This is going to be a lot of work! Four months! But... the Lord God taught us to be patient, for He too was patient. Amen.

Thinking about Felipe gets me thinking. When will it be my turn? The Spanish definitely know who I am through all my letters that go against their ways. I wonder what will happen of me. By the way, to all of you reading this, if something does happen to me, something really bad like let's say an execution, don't just stand and watch! Save me! I don't wanna die! One day, someone will say, "the Filipino is worth dying for." I'm a Filipino! Die for me!

Thanks in advance. Heaven's doors await you.

Swearing

May 1, 1865 | 2:01 PM

Again, the people from the parish told me I swear too much on my blog. I guess I should cut back on the dirty words a bit. It's not really nice thing for a priest to do...

Gobernador Heneral de la Torre

Jun 19, 1864 | 10:21 PM

This guy is awesome. He supports the middle class, looks down upon flogging and best of all, he doesn't look at Filipinos as sh*t. He even invited me over during the inaugural procession instead of the usual Arch Bishop like the other previous Gobernador Henerals do. Maybe he could help in bringing equality between friars and local priests. Go Local Clergy Power! Lion cubs are lions too!

I just hope he's not spying on my mail and e-mail. That would suck.

Manifesto Que a la Noble Nacion Española

Jan 10, 1864 | 4:32 PM

The friars are going waaay too far. Desptie our best efforts in writing for ecclesiastic reforms, they simply wave around their white supremacy crap. They utilizing the infamous undervaluing the capacity and fitness of the Filipino Clergy so as to make themselves perpetual curates in the Islands. They even go as far as claiming that a Filipino priest is only good as a subordinate! That's bulls**t! They're just saying that so they could keep all the land for themselves. Greedy sons of b****es...

I'm gonna write an awesome article to rebute all their bulls**t. I'm gonna call it "Manifesto Que a la Noble Nacion Española". Ooooo... ayos ba?

Discrimination

Nov 28, 1861 | 8:16 PM

Since I've been ordained to priesthood, I've been believing that I'm a fully-committed servant of God. As a father, I'm to spread the good news and the words of God, and help my people to salvation. But, I can't even take care of the church where my people gather to pray and to hear the good news! It's sad, but the reason why I can't take care of the parish is even sadder... no - ridiculous! Just because Filipino priests are not Spaniards who have white skin, they are not allowed equal rights to serve the Church? Hahaha! So childish. What the hell does the color of skin have to do with anything when it comes to taking care of the Holy Church? Do they think that brown people can't be as holy as white people?

In the end, we, the priests are the same servants of God, our Father, Almighty. We fully committed ourselves to devote our lives to bringing the kingdom of God. We all believe in the the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. This discrimination and exclusion is happening right here in the Holy Church among the people who claim themselves as holy priests. It scares me to think of the discrimination happening outside the Church? Sus. I don't even want to think about how my fellow mestizos, and even the indios are being treated by the peninsulares. Those Spaniards look down on anyone who's dark as if they believe that all brown-skinned people are dumb! Inferior! Monkey! Oh my gosh. I hate to name names, but this goes out to Fr. Miguel Lucio y Bustamante and Francisco Cañamaque. May God forgive those sinners.

I guess I should get started doing something about this. As a padre, I can't just sit back and pray the whole day. Na sa Diyos ang awa, na sa tao ang gawa. The Holy Church is being stained by the segregation towards Filipino priests by the friars. I think I should fighting this segregation in the church first and secure the right of our Filipino priests to the Filipino parishes.Yey yey! It's not really something I can do alone. I'll need some help... maybe Padre Gomez can help?

Spelling

Dec 9, 1863 | 11:52 PM

The bishop and the people at the seminary told me they saw my blog. They said my spelling sucks and makes baby Jesus cry. I don't want to go to hell for making baby Jesus cry, so I'm fixing my grammar and spelling from now on.
