Weapon of Mass Destruction
I've decided that among my goals for the site,awareness of one of the most deadliest diseases around should be brought up. AIDS. Please take a moment to consider this...40 million people are currently infected with HIV or AIDS. In 2003 more than 3 million people died from it. That kind of loss is devastating. Now after considering that tid bit..consider these facts as well.
Some countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, the world's most affected region, may cease to exist as viable nations within 30 years. Half of the 15 year olds in south Africa could die from Aids. Healthcare providers and Teachers in Zimbabwe are dying faster than they can be trained. 4 to 5 million people in India are infected with AIDS and could be the next AIDS catastrophe if action isn't taken and soon. After hearing these few things, would are you thinking right now? It could never happen to you? Tell that to the rape victim in the hospital who now has AIDS because she too though she could never get AIDS. You could try telling that Gay teenager it won't happen to you, then maybe he'll tell you he thought the same way until he decided a condom wasn't important. Please, if nothing else practice safe sex, always. No matter how well you think you know a person please always practice safe sex. That one little decision could turn your whole life around. Consider this and maybe consider what you can do to help a few of those 4 million people in India. We have found the weapon of Mass Destructions guys and gals, and it's AIDS. What will you do to stop the epidemic?
