The renovations to the rabbitry are complete!!  I now have 32 hanging holes with enough space for a chair to spend some time cuddling, a grooming table and ample room to store feed and all the other bunny stuff!!  Now to work on better housing for the French Lops!!

Bria (HL) delivered 5 babies yesterday but sadly all were DOA.  Holly delivered her first litter of 2 babies but only 1 has survived.  She sure pulled lots of fur and is being a very attentive Mom.  Hopefully I'll be able to foster another couple of babies to her to help keep her baby warm.

When I went to check on the rabbits this morning Ashes (MR) had 4 tiny babies in her nest box.  This is her first litter.  She had them all nicely covered and snug.  Looks like they'll all be solid black even though she was bred to a broken black.  Still waiting for Velvet, Siren, Scarlett and Tiger Lily to kindle.

Well, the revamping of the rabbitry is just about complete.  I have recently switched from a drop-pan set-up to a drop board and gutter system.  It's take a LOT of work but hopefully this will reduce the amount of time spent cleaning leaving more time to work on the rabbits!

The Bunny Cottage has also been set up to house the French Lops for the summer and plans are underway to move them in today.  The "Cottage" consists of a brand new screened gazebo adjacent to the main rabbitry building.  It will provide a bug free, shady set up for the buns for the summer months.  Also in the works is a large floor pen where all the Frenchies will have a turn to run and play on the grass while being kept safe in the cottage enclosure.
