SUNDAY SCHOOL CHILDREN'S CHESS TOURNAMENTS still to be held during 2009:-    26 July, 30 August, 25 October, and 29 November.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT CLUB MEETINGS WILL BE HELD AT THE U3A BUILDING, 80 A WOONGARRA STREET, BUNDABERG FROM 1st APRIL 09, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. THIS IS DUE TO THE RENOVATION WORKS TO BE CARRIED OUT AT THE ATW. FOR FURTHER INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT THE CLUB SECRETARY ON 0417073094

REMEMBER THE WEEKEND TOURNAMENT ON 1/2 AUGUST 2009 AT THE BUNDABERG STATE HIGH SCHOOL IN MARYBOROUGH STREET!! THERE ARE TWO DIVISIONS   OPEN AND  UNDER 1200 AND UNRATED.  WE HAD 31 NOMINATIONS AT THE WEEKEND TOURNAMENT HELD ON 16/17 AUGUST 2008

The Club held a Weekend Fun Chess Tournament in Bundaberg on 7/8 February 09.  It was designed for players in the Gladstone, Bundaberg, Maryborough and Hervey Bay areas, although players from outside these areas were also welcome. The Club then held a Fun Weekend Chess Tournament in Maryborough on 13 and 14 June 09. The event was held at the Maryborough State High School Building.

The Bundaberg Chess Club Inc had the 2009 Queensland Open Chess Championships and under 1200 Chess Championships in Bundaberg over the Easter Period in 2009. For further details go to the CAQ Website www.caq.org.au

On Tuesday 27 October 09, there is a weekday School Childrens Chess Tournament to be held in Bundaberg at the ATW Sportsgrounds. While it is designed for Bundaberg Schools, any school outside Bundaberg area can enter a team. For further details contact the Club Secretary on 0417073094 or at  menhamat@hotmail.com

In 2008, one hundred and eleven children competed. There are medallions for winners and also a lot of cash prizes.
