January 6th meeting:
Meeting was held at Smoke and Gretchen's in Flora, Illinois. There were 12 members attending and 4 guest and approximately 30 dogs present. We had a really, really good workout session with the dogs on Smoke's rail track. The dogs seemed to enjoy thenselves and we sure had a good time. Special thanks to our guest, Nicole from Two-Bit Kennels and her friend Jeff, Jakes friend B.J. from New World Order Pits. Pictures coming soon.

Several members attended the Hoosier Club Sanctioned 3 show event over Labor Day weekend.. and we all "left our mark" over the weekend. Dave and Chrisy's "Cody" was entered in his first show.. taking 3rd in both shows, earning him 4 points, on Saturday. Becky's new little gal, "Sadie" took 3rd in her class giving her a total of 8 points, Alvin (JR) and "Hannible"entered their first weight pull competions.. Hannible took first in his class both days, Gretchen and "Moon-dog" took first in her class on saturday-- also taking the trophy for the Most Weight Pulled Per Pound AND earning the Indiana State Championship in her weight class, Jonah , Smaoke and "Jimmy took first in the 65 pound and over class and Indiana State Championship for that class. Both dogs recieved second place on Sunday. Be sure to see the albums for the weekend ( to be posted)

August 26th meeting ... attending were Shirley, Becky, LB, Smoke, Gretchen, Jake, Dave and Chrisy, Dave, Stephanie Davidson and guest, Cathie. New minor member -- Stephanie Boyd. Alot of discussion.. not much yard time-- too hot to get the dogs out...

May 7th trip to the Hoosier APBT Club Pro AM Classic Show/Pull Gretchen and Smoke's boy Jonah took the award for the most weight pulled per pound 55lbs and over and first place for his class!!! This was at the fun match in Deer Creek, Indiana hosted by the Hoosier Club.. BUT ...This was the first time Jonah and "Jimmy" had been entered in any competition and boy-oh-boy!!! what a way to start out!!! Jimmy pulled 1,965 pounds with NO rest in between pulls ( since he was the only dog pulling) and the ONLY reason he quit pulling at that weight was because the GUYS!! was too lazy to carry the extra weights off the trailer!! lol....Jimmy had already pulled every weight they had on the track. BIG congrads to the both of them and the Mid-So IL Bully Breed Club could be no prouder to be represented by the pair of you!!!! (ps -- good job training them, Smoke)
Gretchen's "Moon-Dog" placed second in her class i believe and would have took trophy if "Jimmy" hadn't beat her out of it. She did real well too for her first time competing. I think it would be save to say we will be seeing alot more out of her as time goes by... 
Tazer Pits "Heavy Dudy" aka "Dude" attended this event bringing home a 3rd place ribbon. Becky was very proud of the way he behaved and the judge said he was an excellent dog-- just a little heavy for ADBA standard. ( well, he HAS to live up to his name, right? )
The Mid-Southern IL Bully Breed Club wishes to thank the Hoosier club for their hospitality at this event. Much appreciation for all the suggestions and advice-- we look forward to seeing you again at the sanctioned show Labor Day Weekend.

One February 28th several club members attended the Weight Pull held at Monmouth, Illinois. This pull was hosted by the Prairie Land Weight Pull Club and we would like to extend our thanks both for having us as spectators and for putting on the event. It was very well organized with a comfortable atmosphere. We look forward to attending and competing at many more of their events. We also appreciate them allowing us to let some of the novice dogs gain some experience in the harness.... Last meeting held on March 25th. we had 20 members and a total of 26 dogs

We also had 2 visitors.. Robert and Allison.
Activities for the day included a weiner roast, Birthday party for 7 yr old Bodee, doggy activities was focused on weight pulling.. several new dogs got their chance to show their stuff.

April 22nd Meeting. 14 members and 1 guest, 17 dogs present
Attending were: Shirley Bower, Becky Graham, Larry Boyd, James & Gretchen Welty, Dave & Chrisy Segar, Cathie and Curt Thiery, Karla & Brian Hadley, Alvin Roberts, Jerry Bower, and 1 guest.
We had a "pot-luck" dinner and everyone brought some great food. Had a productive meeting and worked the dogs with the weight pulling as auual. It was really nice to meet the new members, Alvin Roberts and karla and Brian Hadley. Beautiful weather, lots of fun and real positive doggy time!!!
