SUMMER LEAGUE:
THE ELITE TROPHY CHAMPION 2009
GRAHAM PARKER

THE LAST 4 PLAYERS IN BOTH THE CONSOLATION CUP AND THE ELITE TROPHY PLAYED TO THE WINNER AT GREENSIDES ON FRIDAY 11th SEPT.
The Consolation Cup semi finals saw Kenny Vince win 5-0 against Peter Haste, and Don Kirby was the 5-0 victory over Hussein El Sodaney.
In the final, a game that was swinging one way then the other eventually saw Kenny take the 11th and deciding leg to oust Don 6-5 and take the trophy.
In the main event, the semi final draw pitted Graham Parker v Dave Goodwin, and Luke Langley v Chris Hogg. Graham kept ahead throughout the game against Dave, and eventually took the match 7-3. In the other semi final, the games were very close as were the leg scores until Chris finally took the match 7-5 to set up a final on the stage against Graham.
In the final, a shaky first leg meant that missed doubles by both players gave them both a low average. Graham eventually took that leg and eventually chipped away at Chris's inexperience to take the Elite Trophy by 8-0. Chris had beaten some big names to get so far but just lost his touch in the final match of the summer. Wins against Henry Murphy, Neil Gayler, Paul Hackett and Luke Langley amongst others, showed how well Chris had played to get himself into the final. Well done to all players who entered what turned out to be a wonderful summer of darts!

KEVIN DAWSON ~ 19.06.63 ~ 27.10.07

Thanks to everyone for their wishes regarding the sad loss of my brother Kev. The amount of friends who have sent their wishes and thoughts to us either by calling or by text, has been immense so thanks to you all. Kev was only 44 and had been a lift engineer for over 20 years. A verdict of accidental death was reached at the inquest on October 6th 2008, but i still have so many questions going round in my head and they shall be forever unanswered!

THERE IS NOW A CHAT ROOM (forum) SET UP ON THIS WEBSITE (26th June 07) FOR ANYONE TO CHAT ABOUT ANYTHING THEY WISH. FEEL FREE TO POST NEW TOPICS FOR DEBATE (see Bartman's Chat Room link)

Tricia Wright England Shirt Auction

England's Tricia Wright was chuffed at the close of the auction at the George McGovern Presentation night, for her England shirt as the bidding finished at £215.00 and the successful bidder was Jimmy Foster (pictured below with Tricia and her - now his - shirt). Congratulations to Jimmy and a massive thank you must go to Tricia for this wonderful idea. The full amount collected was £250.00 as the DJ for the evening, Steve Goodwin, added £35 to Jim's bid. A big thank you to him too. Well done to you both!!
