Here at Buckner Valley we mainly deal with Paint, Appaloosa and Gaited horses but have a wide variety of other breeds to chose from. We also have Cattle and our Kennel has just opened.

Rules for Breeding to BVF animals:

  • Horses that have parents that are real will have this following the name: ®, models will have (m).
  • This Farm uses the AGING rule. Breeding ages are as follows:
  • Horses: stallions at least 2 years- mares at least 5 years.
  • Cattle: bulls at least 2 years old- cows at least 5 years.
  • Whitetail Deer: bucks at least 2 years- does at least 3 years.
  • Dogs: dogs at least 3 years- bitches at least 4 years.
  • For outside parents, please include at least a 4 generation pedigree for our breeding records.
  • Picture of offspring (and/or other parent) required for breeding records and/or offspring classes - jpg and gif format acceptable.
  • We strive for realism in our breeding program, and therefore every effort is made to follow the basic rules of color genetics and for conformation, we will not accept breeding to or for HSO (horse shaped objects- this includes all of the animals at BVF). We retain the right to refuse any breeding(s) to any make or mold that is not conformationally correct.
  • If you have any questions as to the ability of two animals to produce a certain color or conformation type, please ask. We will be happy to assist you.
  • E-mail breedings are free of charge, Snail Mail breedings are $1.00 plus a SASE for return of your pedigrees.
  • BSO (no model for the ID) breedings are acceptable for most animals except where noted. We have some exceptional show animals in our breeding herds, and they may have special requirements for offspring. Please read any special notations carefully.
