WHO ARE BUCKLEY SWIMMING CLUB

Buckley Swimming Club is an establish club in North East Wales. The club moved from the old swimming baths to the new swimming pool in June 2005.

The new pool provides a greater number of lanes and the opportunity for training in a pool of common 25 metre distance.

Training takes place to accommodate learning times of the members and in a one and a half to two hour block between general public use.

The chief coaching position is currently filled by Mike ( Jinxy) Price, who is supported by a number of volunteers.

Swimmers enter the club at various levels of capability though there is a linked route to learner swimmers from the swimming pool supported by county staff.

DRY SIDE

As with any organisation the administration and support for the running of the club is provided by a very active committee of volunteers.

These, as with any club, are individuals who are giving their time to support the club and it's swimmers, usually in activities that are outside of their common daily function.
