One engine is fun, but--?
Well, after you've spent some time running one engine you begin to wonder if they all run, sound, and smell the same. So back to to the internet for more research and to see if something else would catch my eye. I noticed that every so often, but not too often, there would be a Jensen steam engine for sale and they seemed to bring a decent price. After further sleuthing I found out they were still being made in the same building after 75 years by the son of the original builder and three other workers. I have listed their web site in the links section, Steve has done an awesome job with the site and I enjoy going back to it often. [I have found out since then that having the company still in business has been very useful for getting new parts and information.] Well this time I decided on a Jensen 65, and once again played my waiting game for the right engine. When it arrived I was very impressed with it's looks and lost no time in firing it up, and became further impressed with its running. After that I was able to link up to Steve [cedesign link] and Roger G. [Indianarog link] with a few questions about my Jensen, and other Jensens. Both have been very kind, patient, and helpful to a beginning steamer. I'll always enjoy my first Wilesco D10, but I now knew I was a Jensen man.
