I, Michael A. Storer am selling out of the Rabbitry Business. It has been a joy but the local clubs and shows are a political joke! Its not what you raise but who you are.Raising and showing rabbits should be for fun and joy but now it is for who you are and how much MONEY you have. I have lots of cages, carrying cages, nest boxes, tattoo kits, NZ Reds and Whites. I am no longer a member of the ARBA nor the Ohio State New Zealand Rabbit Breeders Association.

Welcome to The Buckeye Brothers New Zealand Rabbitry located outside of Wilmington, Ohio. The Buckeye Brothers Rabbitry was founded in 1997 by Michael A. Storer and C.E. Carter who lived in Washington C.H., Ohio. They raised New Zealand Whites and Blacks. Some months later Michael grew fond of the New Zealand Reds and learned of a Mr. Maurice Schipper from Montgomery, MO. (a well known red breeder) wanted to sell out his entire stock. Storer and Carter drove to Montgomery, MO and bought Mr. Schipper out. Ever since that time The Buckeye Brothers have been a "Red breeder in the lead". The shows have recorded that The Buckeye Brothers have been proven winners at the ARBA shows!
The Buckeye Brothers White New Zealand stock came from a well known White breeder from North Carolina, Mr. Robert Crawford. Mr. Crawford has won over 250 "Best In Shows" across the USA! As you see the stock is the best! |

Michael and Cindy Storer reside at the Wilmington residence located at 110 Fife Road Wilmington, Ohio, along with their children, Tristan, Mimie, Anja and Dakotah. Mrs. Storer raises New Zealand Blacks and Mini Lops. Michael has been an exhibitor of New Zealands at the ARBA shows in the Mid-West for many years. Of course, Michael's main goal is to see a New Zealand Red win BOB at a New Zealand show! The highlight in The Buckeye Brothers Rabbitry came at the 2000 ARBA Convention in Columbus, Ohio when they won BEST and BEST OPPOSITE Red New Zealand! Breeders saw the quality of their Reds and showed interest in the bloodline. The quality remains the same today!
Michael was the founder of The Rabbit Connection 4-H Club in Washington C.H., Ohio. This 4-H Club was one of the strongest rabbit clubs in that county. He also served as Director, Secretary-Treasurer, Vice President and President of The Fayette County Rabbit Breeders Association located in Washington C.H., Ohio. Until the Fall of 2002, he served as Vice President and President of The Ohio State New Zealand Rabbit Breeders Association. This association is the strongest club in the Federation of New Zealand Rabbit Breeders in the USA.
Mr. C.E. Carter still resides in Washington C.H., Ohio with his wife Pat. You can drive by his home and pull into his driveway and most likely see him walking from his rabbitry. He truly is a man of wisdom and does not know a stranger. Mr. Carter raises New Zealand Blacks and Reds....and some outstanding New Zealand Blues!
The Buckeye Brothers are members of the ARBA, AFNZRB and OSNZRBA.
