The Barnstaple Town Youth Marching Band was formed during the spring of 2005 with very few members; we now have approximately 30 playing members and 6 support members.

The BTYMB is registered with Devon County Council & the Devon Youth Services; we also have the support of the Barnstaple Town Council who have sanctioned the use of the Town's Coat-of-Arms on our uniform's & instruments.

The BTYMB take part in local ceremonial occasions & carnivals within the area and have recently taken bookings for other events throughout Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. Band social evenings & events are often organised for our members.

The BTYMB play a wide variety of music ranging from military & popular tunes to a selection of songs from well known musicals & shows. 

The BTYMB are now officially affiliated to The Salamanca Band and Bugles of the Rifles
