We are Lutheran pastors committed to training leaders for congregations.
THE NEED
Ephesians 6 describes the mission of the church as spiritual warfare. On this battlefield we need "medics!" Many congregations are "bleeding to death" as they steadily lose members while they wait for a "doctor" to become available. The high cost of seminary education has priced most of these smaller churches out of the pastor market. These congregations used to be the training ground for first call pastors. Now they cannot compensate a pastor enough to enable them to service their student loans. Hence, pastors find it difficult to consider small congregations.
Currently, there are thousands of small Lutheran churches without pastors to serve them. The average age of most Lutheran clergy is over 60 years. Unless something changes, this situation is only going to get worse.
