Dwarves are short (aproximately three feet in height), big headed creatures resembling humans. They are hairier, usually keeping a full beard, and much stalkier. They are natural miners, smiths, and have a large variety of trades. They spend their time collecting many different treasures of sorts (gold, silver, gems, and precious stones), and building expensive armors. They are commonly seen as greedy thieves.
There are many theories as to how the creation of Dwarves took place. One such theory is that the maggots which ate off of the giant Ymir were transformed into the beings we now call Dwarves.
These creatures most commonly live underground and in the mountains. Other names for the dwarves are: Hill Men/Earth Men from Sweeden, and Kopel from Germany (their origin)
