Blazin' Saddles 4-H Club is a very interactive club. We encourage children ages 5 and in kindergarden to enjoy our Cloverbud program. Kids ages 8-18 are invited to join our interactive regular member program that allows a friendly competition at the Lorain County Fair showing the project of their choice. 4-H projects are all encompassing and can include but are not limited to poster projects, fishing, gardening, cooking, creative writing, and self determined projects such as cartoon creation. Members can choose to take any animal they see at the county fairs, such as their cow, goat, horse or a pig. Household pets such as a cat, hamster or even horse can be signed up as a project too.
Blazin' Saddles is always accepting new members and extends an invitation for you and your family to participate in the many different types of events we as a club participate in. Some of the club's favorite events are camping at Mohican, go carting, Kalahari Water Park, horse back riding and Cedar Point. We also host a girl scout clinic, a horse show, and enjoy attending the Lorain County Fair. Our club also participates in several community service projects each year such as bike trail cleanup, Mary Lee Tucker Fund helping clothe a child, as well as Christmas caroling in a local nursing home. Kids also enjoy different 4-H camps such as horse camps.
