I am a birman breeder who happens to share my life with ONE Maine Coon (see Zeus' page) whom we all love dearly and I had NO plans for adding another coonie (or cat for that matter!) to our family in the near future; however, as I discovered, sometimes the most unexpected things can be the most surprisingly wonderful!
Late November 2008, the last show for the year was a good chance to catch up with friends and fellow breeders before the summer break and I had the opportunity to meet up with some coonie kittens bred by the lovely Kyra of Rumpleteeza Maine Coons....well! I took one look at this dear little tortie face as she was put purringly into my arms touching my face gently with her big hairy paw and I was hopelessly lost!
Much deliberation as to HOW she could possibly fit into our peaceful, harmonious household, pressure from a teenager daughter and numerous phone calls home to my husband and the decision that the former 'Nadia' was to become
Rumpleteeza PeppaPot
and was welcomed into our family.
Peppa likes to hang out with her birman sisters including taking time out to smell the roses with Inca
this is the first 'togetherness' photo I have of Zeus checking out his baby sister and then weeks later sharing a bench picture togeth
er
Peppa is the most affectionate, loving cat I have ever known, she is also the scruffiest, messiest cat I have ever known and no amount of grooming makes a difference for more than a minute or two however she does take pride in her scruffiness, spending much time peering in the bathroom mirror or laying back relaxing in the bath!
Kyra knows how I love this scruffy little girl is and I will be eternally grateful to her for allowing us to be her chosen family
life IS good when you are a PeppaPot!
