[Band]
There has been dispute over
the meaning of the band name, Brutál Beké. Brutál Beké is Hungarian for
''Pierced Brutality''. The band got their name from a Hungarian friend of
Nathan's who translated English into Hungarian for him.
Brutál Beké came about in early 2004. Paul had seen an advert in a local
music shop which Jamie had put there asking for other musicians to form a
band. Paul had recently split up with his ex band Relinquished and was on
the verge of starting a new band. He took the contact details and had
contacted Jamie that same night. They discussed influences etc. and decided
they would go down the thrash metal track. In search of a drummer, Paul
asked his friend Nathan if he would take to the sticks which he did. They
went on playing and writing together and then came to a sudden halt and did
not practice or anything for months. So they spoke and roped Phil in on
drums and Nathan on Vocals. They continued practicing for a whilst but
recently had a change of line up with Phil on bass and our good friend Daryl
taking to the drums. Now they've started again and are on track to be
soon getting gigs together and going to try and make an impact on the local
scene with their fast, thrashing metal approach, with rip roaring scream,
thought-out lyrics, fast shredding guitars and drums to make your ears
explode.
