Welcome to the website of
Brushes Rangers YC FC
We are based in Stalybridge Cheshire and from season 2009/2010, we will be running three open age football teams:-
Brushes Rangers FC ...
Winners of the Manchester Umbro International Football Festival 2008 Club Website Trophy, will play in the Tameside Sunday Football League Division One after achieving a memorable 'treble', being crowned League Champions, Divisional Cup and The Fred Davies Cup winners in 2008 / 2009.
FC Brushes Rangers ...
will play in the Tameside Sunday Football League Divison Four.
Spartak Brushes FC ...
will play in the Manchester Saturday Morning League Divison Two.
We play some of our games off Harridge Avenue, off Brushes Road in Stalybridge (see map below). The pitch belongs to us and as such, doesn't follow the local authority rules regarding pitch closures.
Although the down side is that WE have to cut the grass and mark out the pitch !! If it looks familiar, the more eagle-eyed of you will recognise our 'lovely' ground from the Budweiser advert on TV where the Arsenal coach pulls up at the side of a pitch.
Honest !!!!... it IS our pitch and we DO mark out the pitch !!!!
The groundsman is Kevin Heydon, one of our commiitee members !!!

Can you help ?
As we have already said, the pitch is ours ... we have to maintain everything on and around it.
We have long term aims to bring the bottom pitch back into use as well as trying to improve the top pitch's playing surface and surrounding barriers. We have some money awarded to us to help fund new fencing but the biggest problem is the lack of manpower and particularly, machinery.
If you have access to a JCB or other heavy plant and can get it up to the pitch, we could start getting the best out of our second biggest asset, our own pitches.
Incidentaly, our biggest asset is/are the players !!!
