Bio:

I have been bass fishing for about 10 yrs now with some level of tournament fishing during that time (although I do a bit better now in the results over the past 5 yrs).  I was born in Newark, N.J. (Yes that’s right, home of the racial riots).  My grandfather (now deceased) worked for Thomas Edison, & also played piano in the silent movies! I attended high school at Columbia High School in Maplewood, N.J.  I got tired of Jersey drivers, so I came to Connecticut to attend the University of Hartford where I got my B.S. in Business Administration with an accounting major. I spent the first 10 years of fishing exclusively as a trout fisherman in streams, floating live worms and small spinners. Got my 1st boat about 11 years ago and haven't been back to the streams since.  I joined my first bass club to make fishing buddies and share the passion. Tournament fishing just came as part of the package.  I learned a lot as a non-boater (mostly that you don't want to be one if u plan on catching any fish!) I have a true passion for all sorts of fishing, and my fun fishing has and will always be much more important to me than tournament fishing.  I've come to rely on it for relaxation and the only way I've learned how to completely put aside the more serious concerns of life.  If I measured my passion by my tournament results, it probably wouldn't serve that purpose for me nearly as well.  At this point in my life, my only goals in tournament fishing are to give it my best, DON'T EVER come in last, enjoy the good finishes, and don't take the bad ones too seriously!
