I guess I just have to jump right into this.  When half the people left the farm in Walterboro in 2001, they were operating under the belief that RG Stair had not really repented.  After his "confession" to sin (actually damage control), Stair felt the need to do more damage control which is not a fruit of true repentance (2 Cor 7:11).  Some of us couldn't see that though.

Then in the first half of 2005, after Stair's exposure in the use of pornography, it was apparent to more people that he had not repented.  We looked for the fruit of repentance for four years and it was lacking.  So we left.

As of now in the middle of 2009, reports have come in for these last few years of continual attempts and successes by the old man Stair to go astray.  But the people remaining in Walterboro are stubborn and must lay down (through fear) the word of God to know a prophet by his fruit and take up their own idea to know a prophet by some spiritual "witness" they think they have.  The witness of God is greater than the witness of men.  The witness of God is His word.

Jesus asked, Whom do men say that I am?  Several answers were given, answers that people from their heart surely believed.  They all had some kind of "witness".  Then Peter answered with the witness that he had that Jesus is the Son of the living God.  Even though he was right, his witness had to be verified by the Word of God (Jesus).

If anybody in Walterboro could read this now, I would urge them to not be afraid to take up the simple word of God to know a prophet by his fruit.  Not to be afraid to read and believe verses like Deut 18:22 or Deut 13:1-3 or 2 Tim 3:1-7 or 2 Pet 2:13-15.  Not to be afraid to take a stand against evil.  Nobody is above the Word of God.  There is no special dispensation of grace for one man in the church to commit atrocious acts.  Because judgment is not executed speedily, the hearts of the sons of men are fully set to do evil.  There's your so-called special dispensation...

Talk about a strong delusion. If Stair really believes that he is "sealed" no matter what he does, he is not loving the truth that he needs to repent because he loves the unrighteousness of his unbridled lust. If the pre-tribulation rapture doctrine were a strong delusion, thinking you're sealed without repentance is a stronger delusion.

Stair doesn't need the brothers there to watch him to make sure he doesn't go astray. Unless he's desiring repentance so much that he submits to assistance from the brothers, their watchfulness is useless. Without his submission, he will just hide (sometimes not so well) his sin for fear of getting caught as he has done so far.

True repentance will bring a "this has got to stop no matter what I have to do to make it stop" mentality.

The time draweth near

Luke 21:8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am [Christ]; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

Two points of deception:

1) I am 'the anointed one', God's 'man of the hour'

2) and the time draweth near, this is the end time

Using the truth that 'the time draweth near' to deceive people, especially to draw them to a certain place (Matthew 24:26).

Jesus Christ shall reign over ALL the earth. Only principalities and powers have authority over certain geographical locations, such as, say, the Southern states. (Daniel 10:13)
