Brotherhood of the Fenrir

The Brotherhood of the Fenrir (BroF) is a World of Warcraft guild.  BroF was created on Warcraft 3 and has expanded to a number of other games such as Battlefield 2, Counter Strike Source etc.

In old Nordic tradition he is a dreadful wolf, the evil god Loki’s first born son.  His mother is a witch-giant, the only way to kill a witch was to burn her alive. The Gods tried to kill her by inviting her to a party ("her funeral party," the Gods said to each other), at the end of the party the gods sentenced her for using magic.  They burned her on a spear, but when she was burned to ashes she was revived, they burned her again, and she was revived again...  The third time she was burnt Loki found the living heart in the ashes, and he swallowed it.  When he felt the evilness from the heart, in his body, he ran out from Valhalla (the Castle that Odin lives in) and hid himself in the dark far away Iron Forest.  He then gave birth to the Fenrir. The Fenrir is the father of all wolves, even the wolves that chase the Sun and the Moon. The prophecy said that the Fenrir would give the Gods injuries that they couldn´t heal.

The Gods accepted that Fenrir could live in Asgard (where the Gods live) because Loki was the Fenrir’s father.  The Fenrir grew so quickly that the Gods became anxious for their own safety and they tried to chain him with a chain forged by themselves, but the Fenrir broke the chain.  The Gods then made their strongest chain, called Drome, but the Fenrir managed to break that second chain too.  At last a God was sent to the dwarven Masterblacksmith who used runes on his forged things, he lived in the Land of the Black Elves.  The band was forged with material that didn´t seem to exist (like the sound of a sneaking cat, the beard from a woman, a breath from a fish, the roots from a montain, etc.).

When they got the band they lured the Fenrir underground and over the black lake on to an island called Lyngve.  There they showed him the band, it seemed like silk, the Fenrir laughed and wondered why he should try the weak band when he already had broken the Gods strongest chains.  Then the Fenrir became suspicous and thought it was a trap, he said that if they wanted to put it on a God had to put his hand between the Fenrir’s jaws.  Tyr was the only god that dared to do this.  Then the Gods started to wrap the band around the backlegs on the Fenrir, then they wrapped it around the frontlegs.  The Fenrir started to scream in pain, and Tyr felt the razorsharp teeth biting his right arm off, then the Gods nailed the band into a cliff.

The Fenrir howls and drivels in his imprisonment till Ragnarok, the end of the old order.  Then he will break out under the chaos of the final catastrophe together with his father Loki and his brother the Middleearthsnake.  The Fenrir’s will rush forwads with his jaws open.  His lower jaw will scratch the ground and his upper jaw will tear apart the sky, while flames will burst out from his mouth and nostrils.
